I thought everything was funny besides the whale part. Serious or not, he made himself look really silly. I learned why whales are mammals in kindergarten.
Problem with the whole "scientists are stupid because of the dumb names" thing is that scientists don't give animals common names. I mean, I suppose some do if they've never been seen by humans or something, but most are just the names the locals give them 98% of the time.

How do you consider this considered his second worst video? This was the one that got him put in the spotlight and caused him to make more videos for being so hilarious.
This video surely was his worst thus far, but it still managed to make me laugh, same with his alphabet video. The way he presents things is funny but his points are completely off in left field, he must have known he was spouting nonsense.
He saved it with the last one imo.

I think this [I]is[/I] a great idea for a video. That's the worst part. There are a ton of strange animal/plant/whatever names. Like that mountain chicken he mentioned, but only at the very end. He could have made tons of funny observations. But calling whales fish and not understanding what the word species even means by saying we shouldn't distinguish between different types of ants, that's just capital letter retarded.

Alligators and crocodiles are a different species, not because one has a protruding fourth tooth. That's just an easy identifier.
The point is that they are in a different genus. Crocodiles are in Crocodylus and Alligators are, simply, in Alligator.
They cannot interbreed. Interbreeding possibility is usually a very important argument for speciation.

Honestly I feel like the guy has jumped the shark at some point and just picks anything more or less sensational. I mean, i like his style, and even this video is totally fun to watch despite it's dumbness, but the lack of ideas is really starting to show up.
