this isn't deus ex
You know, if they pull off making this game awesome then I'll forgive Square Enix for Supreme Commander 2.
Yeah, it's Deus Ex : Human revolution :v:
you completely missed my point :colbert:
We've seen all this footage before.
All these clips are taken from a private gameplay demonstration done at E3, but obviously in the original you could see everything, there were no cuts. Just gameplay.
I hope they keep most of the parts of the original game that made it really fun

They polished it. Full versions gonna be shown at gamescom hence 'trailer'.

SE are publishing. They stayed out of the devs way as much as possible although I think they are handling marketing.
Never played the first one tbh, but this looks nice.
I'm probs going to get it, it looks fun, and if it lives up to the trailer, it could well be a decent game.
But why are they calling it Deus Ex, I haven't seen anything Deus Ex about that trailer apart from the fact that it's cyberpunk (although Deus Ex 1 was more film noir style cyberpunk, and this one doesn't have that).

If by "polished" you mean "took the exact footage from the gameplay demonstration at E3" then yes.
It better not be one of those games where you're forced into stealth/firefight situations, the original Deus Ex made all the options viable no matter the situation.
No, they said you will perfectly have the ability to sneak/fight/use diplomacy/other whenever you want, and gave some examples as well.
Looks like a shooter game.
Which is bad, in my opinion.
Would have been great as a stand alone game
The fact that they called this "Deus Ex" turns it into an abomination
The first dues ex and invisible war were both fucking great.

"I know pretty much nothing about the plot or gameplay but I'm so annoyed that they called this deus ex"
:downs:
I have high hopes for this, as it seems it's more like the original gameplay-wise than Invisible War.
I now have to make a difficult choice: non-lethal, or awesome armblades?
looks shit.
If any of you haven't played the original you must drop everything this instant and buy it.

Cybernetic Augmentations.
damn, I hope there wont be too much of that fancy 'take cover behind walls and switch to 3rd person for every move' stuff

Its optional. This is the one thing that people complain about yet you don't have to do it. I don't understand the problem.
If you mean in the gameplay vid they will show then quite a few bits but some it helps especially in stealth.
