Isn't the oversized suit thing a look of the 80's/90's? He's said in older videos iirc that he prefers the older style of suit. The size is probably intentional. [editline]4th August 2017[/editline] Although his suits seem quite large even for older trends.
Not really, they're pretty much the correct size/scale for the era. It looks like their clothes shrunk in the dryer.
I wish he was my dad

That black 3 piece at 18:00 was class as fuck on him.
kid looks absolutely ridiculous. Suit is huge, looks like he raided his dad's closet or something. Doesn't matter what you wear, it has to fit right
If you watch the video he explains that he likes them that way.
I never realized how bland today's suits are until now. It looks like their clothes shrunk in the dryer.
I really don't understand why this has become a thing.
I never realized how bland today's suits are until now. It looks like their clothes shrunk in the dryer.
A lot of times in glamour shots like these they even use binder clips to make the clothes seem even more snug by pulling the sleeves and pants legs back.

i will never understand the trend of exposed socks, and ESPECIALLY when theyre wearing tiny socks so your ankles are out it just makes you look like youre trying to fit into your pants your mom made you get at goodwill for church when you were 12

Mainly because that picture is from 2003...
Formal wear is awesome and not expensive at all. You can buy a good looking suit for the same price as a pair of jeans. The problem I've always had with this guy is that his suits don't fit and it seems like he's wearing his dad's old clothes. Even at the cheapest warehouses, when you buy formal wear there is always someone to help you get the right size of everything. Wearing extremely oversized formal wear makes you look like a clown. It's the exact opposite of what you're trying to achieve. The shoulder padding doesn't help either.
i will never understand the trend of exposed socks, and ESPECIALLY when theyre wearing tiny socks so your ankles are out it just makes you look like youre trying to fit into your pants your mom made you get at goodwill for church when you were 12
you're talking about tapered trousers, which are kind of an 80's thing [thumb]http://www.cbr.com/wp-content/uploads/spinoff/2014/08/miamivice1.jpg[/thumb] basically it's for when you want people to see your shoes clearly, particularly for when you're wearing formal leather ones or nice sneakers. if your trousers aren't tapered then it de-emphasizes your shoes, which can throw off the color and texture coordination (which again was a big emphasis in the 80's).

Honestly I'm pretty sure the suits are too big on him because he's just so damn skinny. There are a couple "morning routine" videos he's done where you can see him in a t-shirt, he's very slim.
Skinny fit, because my crotch needs to be infinitely uncomfortable.
I never understood why guys wear skinny anything.
I never understood why guys wear skinny anything.
I had a pair of slim/skinny jeans. They stretched surprisingly well and still had proper crotch room. They also nicely accentuated my legs and ass, because skipping leg day is for chumps and sissies.
I never understood why guys wear skinny anything.
most skinny pants have adequate space(usually a dropped crotch area) and stretch quite well due to them using spandex a lot of the time, so they're quite comfy actually however suit pants are not, sitting in that shit pushes everything up and it is the worst thing ever
Some of his suits look kinda tacky but others are damn stylish. Good on him for wearing what he wants though, I don't really see why people care so much, its just clothing afterall, sure it looks a bit off but its no different to me who likes to wear wolf t-shirts (yes I have that shirt by The Mountain).
Anyone else notice his big hands? They don't fit his head.
I never understood why guys wear skinny anything.
Because clothing outlets sell nothing but skinny fit. Desperation is leading me to buy straight cut jeans online.
kid looks absolutely ridiculous. Suit is huge, looks like he raided his dad's closet or something. Doesn't matter what you wear, it has to fit right
Considering A he's going to grow into it, and B he got the suit in question for 70 bucks by buying second hand, he's fine.
cant believe we made 2 pages on a videogame forum about whether or not some youtubers entire shtick being that he purposely dresses like someone from the 50s is considered stylish or not
Facepunch hasn't just been a video game forum in a long, long time. What are you on about? [editline]6th August 2017[/editline] On topic, the suits seem a bit too big for him but it certainly makes him stand out as a YouTuber.
dude he fuckn rox those suits... just because he has a small head doesn't mean he can't wear a suit. probably looks better than a lot of people i know who wear suits. modern suits are a joke. seriously ankle socks with a suit???? [editline]6th August 2017[/editline] he says himself the size of the jacket and trousers are entirely his preference.
For those of you talking about oversized suits; it's because he wears 40's/50's style suits, back then it was in fashion for your trousers to be long & baggy and for pant-legs to go over your laces. And for suit jackets to give your shoulders more of a broad look.
Yes, the old style suits are supposed to be broad, but they're supposed to fit despite being broad. Broad or not, a suit's shoulders aren't supposed to droop like that
