tbh it kinda looks like you could give it a good solid smack from a crowbar and knock the fucker off before it has a chance to retract

[Unintelligible gabbing]
I'll never really be able to drive, but if the chance ever comes that I just get a shit ton of money, I'd buckle down past my shortcomings and learn just for a Rolls. My favourite cars.

But, bonnet ornaments on a Ford or a GM? That is tacky
I dunno man, I enjoy a nice hood ornament on a Buick and/or Cadillac.
Not gonna lie, I giggle every time the car sucks up the Spirit of Ecstasy at mach speed.

This one's my new favorite.
Couldn't you just go for it with some bolt cutters? Can't retract the ornament if it's been cut off.

you can steal an entire car if you have the right equipment, this is both a safety feature and a way to ward of crime of opportunity (y'know, the more common kind)
You wouldnt download a hood ornament

you don't really drive a phantom, you get driven around in one
you don't really drive a phantom, you get driven around in one
nah, if I personally had the money to buy a Phantom i'd be driving that shit, didn't pay $500,000 to pay someone else to drive the car

you aren't gonna ward off someone who is that committed, its more about petty theft and damage really

Do you really expect Rolls Royces to be parked out in the open with literally nobody looking after them?
These are cars that are kept indoors or in heavily watched parking spaces.

No not always. You just need to know where to look. And if someone is that dedicated to take bolt cutters to the job is gonna know where to look.

I dunno. Rolls-Royces really aren't drivers' cars. The loudest thing in them is the clock on the dashboard, they only have automatic gearboxes which don't even have a semi-automatic shifting mode, and hell they don't even have tachometers. If you're gonna spend half a million on a car that you want to drive, get an Aston or a Ferrari or something like that.
A RR Phantom especially isn't a drivers' car, it's a limousine; it's too large. If I had the money to buy one, I'd only ever want to be driven around in it. They are built around the experience of the passengers anyways, eg the hundreds of things stuck to the roof to imitate a night sky.
I thought the theft of them was pretty much countered by making them unscrewable so you can park the car and just remove it. This method is way cooler.

not really. especially not so with older rolls royces. it's mostly just a limousine thing in general, and not all rolls are limos
Phantoms are for high end taxi drivers. They're designed with the back seat I'm mind. They're for old money who lives in a 100 acre manor somewhere in Yorkshire with 15 maids, a personal butler and a dedicated driver.
The Ghost and Wraith however the opposite. They're meant for younger owners who live in a New York penthouse who don't need any of those. They're designed with the drivers seat in mind while still giving no compromises to the rear seats (but if you were to compare the back seat of a ghost to the phantom you can almost say it's spartan). I drove a ghost 2 years ago and I loved it. Sure it's not a sports car, it's not exactly nimble and you have no idea what is the voodoo satellite transmission doing but everything just works. It's great. Hell yeah I'd drive the shit out of a Rolls.
