damn the turret exploding at 1:18-19 looks bad, but it's probably placeholder CGI
damn the turret exploding at 1:18-19 looks bad, but it's probably placeholder CGI
This close to release? Looked fine to me, looked like a real explosion
This close to release? Looked fine to me, looked like a real explosion
actually it kind of looks weird and superimposed, I think the way the camera moves makes the explosion look like it's moving in some weird way. Idk, I can't describe it but it doesn't look bad, it does look kind of out of place though.
it's copypasted on top of everything in the scene, no depth whatsoever - almost like the original trilogy space battle explosion effects. [editline]27th November 2016[/editline]
This close to release?
they have two and a half weeks to tweak the CGI effects.
Looked fine to me, looked like a real explosion
that's a bad joke
I wish they would have made a badass Kyle Katarn movie. See this guy with his badass attitude? He aint givin no shits.
Actually I am pretty sure that's an explosion from the OT, at least the special edition ones :v: HOWEVER
they have two and a half weeks to tweak the CGI effects.
This trailer was not cut the day it aired - most likely around a month ago, if not more. So if they have tweaked it, there's been plenty of time.
she's pretty attractive, prob the only reason i'll like her.
Doesn't look like anything to me.
The main actress is an absolutely awful actor.
I like how the complaint was about the AT-AT and not the fact that the U-Wing exists.
I like how the complaint was about the AT-AT and not the fact that the U-Wing exists.
What is wrong with the U-Wing?
It would be nice if they used the proper canon rather than rewriting it completely. Kyle Katarn was the person who stole the plans for the death star.
It would be nice if they used the proper canon rather than rewriting it completely. Kyle Katarn was the person who stole the plans for the death star.
This is proper canon. Disney threw all of the EU shit away leaving only The Clone Wars and movies canon. Anything released after Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir (that isn't Lego Star Wars) is official canon now. Kyle Katarn doesn't exist.
What is wrong with the U-Wing?
This isn't an after movie like Force Awakens it's between some previous ones so a ship just popping out of thin air is a little dumb.
This isn't an after movie like Force Awakens it's between some previous ones so a ship just popping out of thin air is a little dumb.
We've had no reason to see it in the other movies. There was no need for a troop transport during the Battle of Yavin, or Hoth or Endor.
It would be nice if they used the proper canon rather than rewriting it completely. Kyle Katarn was the person who stole the plans for the death star.
get over it.
This isn't an after movie like Force Awakens it's between some previous ones so a ship just popping out of thin air is a little dumb.
That galaxy is a big place, there's no reason to assume we've seen every ship that ever existed in the OT.
It would be nice if they used the proper canon rather than rewriting it completely. Kyle Katarn was the person who stole the plans for the death star.
Actually it was several different people in the old canon, Operation Skyhook was the name of the whole thing. The writers for this movie seem to have been inspired by Dark Forces at least a little bit which is pretty neat. It would be cool if they had Katarn himself, but hey we still have the badass games. I wish they used Z-95 Headhunters instead of X-Wings though, I think it would have gave more of a "before ANH" feeling.
