Uh, theres like a million and one good reasons for that to have happened. Thats the thing with aircraft accidents, is that theres a million variables that can cause an accident. In this case, I bet it had something to do with 3 or 4 people hanging onto the wing and heavily unbalancing the aircraft and probably causing it to drop in speed too. It would kinda be like having one of your flaps just suddenly drop to 40 degrees while the other stays at 0.
