I remember the episode where meg finally snaps and goes batshit on them all. telling them how hard she tried and how much of a mental fuckup everyone else is and causes everyone to have an emotional breakdown once they realize how much of a horrid person they really are.
Those moments of clarity are really jarring in Family Guy episodes, but at the same time they're really some of the better moments in the series. Remember when Quagmire deconstructs Brian's character and points out how he's pretty much one of the most despicable people in Family Guy? And then after that scene absolutely nothing becomes of it?
