Tbh I Wonder what this games defence squad looks like
There isn't much of one left. There's still some believers, but most places resent the game now or don't have a lot of hope for it. Especially since the personal donator's forum went dead due to that one woman who drew the female Beck and didn't actually care much for the game or community had been made a forum admin and fucked things up significantly.
"...like an anime fan on prom night!" :suicide: Awkward narrator aside, this game doesn't really give off that full Megaman vibe for me. I'll be honest, dashing into enemies that explode into blue flashy bits looks like it would be fun at first, but it doesn't look challenging at all. In the trailer the player just shot most of the enemies once or twice and then just dashed into them.
I didn't fund this. But I pre-ordered Starbound. So I know the pain.
Ohhh boy... edit: took me 7 min to figure out how to embed tweets, jeez
Well, thank god i didn't back this up.

it has to be satire at this point right right
I didn't fund this. But I pre-ordered Starbound. So I know the pain.
I'm glad the worst thing I got suckered into buying before release was Starbound, not like those guys I know that put hundreds into the Homestuck kickstarter.
It's genuinely sad, because you know this game could have been something... but it ended up as nothing.
is it releasing for real this time lmfao
I'm glad the worst thing I got suckered into buying before release was Starbound, not like those guys I know that put hundreds into the Homestuck kickstarter.
What's wrong with Starbound anyway? I bought the game years ago and played it like 15 minutes before forgetting its existence.
I didn't fund this. But I pre-ordered Starbound. So I know the pain.
I keep seeing posts about how "1.0, the FULL GAME, is coming soon"... but the game is nowhere near finished, and from what I've seen, they're basically going "yep it's done" with like less than half of the promised features
What's wrong with Starbound anyway? I got enough hours of fun out of it though. It has fantastic atmosphere, so just exploring was fun enough.

The main problem with Starbound is less missing features and more them never nailing down the core gameplay.
I hope Yooka Laylee turns out fine, that's the one I backed.
The main problem with Starbound is less missing features and more them never nailing down the core gameplay.
Gotta 'redo' combat like three times and make it worse every time. Also planets have literally nothing under the surface, or any loot. A single Terraria 1.0 world has more content than multiple Starbound sectors
I feel better about purchasing Cube World than Starbound, at least that game has more fun exploration despite only being ever updated once. And on topic of no. 9, it deserves all the hate and ridicule it is getting right now.
I hope Yooka Laylee turns out fine, that's the one I backed.
It will turn out far better then you imagine. Many of the devs behind it are old Rare employees who worked on Banjo&Kazooie. Hell, they even had a demo of the game prepared before the kickstarter. They love what they do and it will show. Actually, no. It already shows! Because they already gave the backers a crystal clear idea on what they are doing. They worked on most of the core game even before the kickstarter was up. They know what they are doing. Same will go for Bloodstained, which is made up of devs who worked with Iga during the Castlevania days. Look how Miriam's model looks like. Look at the shaders! It's some top notch work already. I can't to see her in motion. [t]http://www.technobuffalo.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Bloodstained-Ritual-of-the-Night-character-model-5.jpg[/t] There is passion in what they do on top of years of experience, unlike MN9. From what I remember, most of the team behind Comcept.inc are new to the industry or have very few years of experience. And then you also have Inafune leading, which we see, again, how much he's laid back on his laurels. He's now getting a massive reality check with MN9. You have nothing to worry about Yooka Laylee. It will turn out just fine.
I feel like the majority of funds went to porting on all possible platforms. Was it worth it tough?
I hope Yooka Laylee turns out fine, that's the one I backed.
I think it will, simply because they already had a working (and very good looking and promising) prototype to show when they launched the Kickstarter. And hell, just from what we've seen of it so far, it obviously has a lot more effort put into it at its early stages than MN9 has ever had. While I doubt it'll be better than Banjo-Kazooie, I'm at least hoping it will be a solid platformer with some memorable moments and characters. Having a prototype really helps a lot to cement the idea that the people you're backing actually want to make a decent video game instead of just presenting vague concept art and cashing in on an idea (like MN9).

oh wow. So Deep Silver were the cause of this shitstorm. still doesn't take away how bad the rest of the game looks though lol
I guess you can say Deep Silver is in Deep Shit.
As someone that was kinda doubting it from the first trailer and lost interest soon after, i'm sitting in the background laughing my ass off at the absolute shitshow this has become.
"Who's Deep Silver, again?" "oh"
"Who's Deep Silver, again?" "oh"
Are the Saints Row games liked? I thought they were, never played them myself.
I often wonder just what type of person Keiji Inafune is after this whole debacle. Is he really the creator he says he is, or is he just a business man? Was this the result of incompetence, circumstance, or just not giving a fuck? Was his heart really in the right place or was he just looking for a quick and sure cash grab by banking on our nostalgia and loyalty? I feel like this was such a bad fuck up that he won't want to show his face in the industry again. I remember in the Kickstarter video he talked about never wanting to disappoint his fans again, and yet I can't see how MN9 could be anymore disappointing than what we got. It probably won't even be enjoyable on a Sonic 06 level. It's just going to be soul-crushingly mediocre.
I guess you can say Deep Silver is in Deep Shit.
Deep Silver is going to walk away from this without a scratch. A shitty trailer for a game that's costing them chump change to support is nothing for a company as big as them.
"Who's Deep Silver, again?" "oh"
If you had extended your screenshot a measly 20 extra pixels down you'd find that they're also publishing Bloodstained too, for what that's worth.
Are the Saints Row games liked? I thought they were, never played them myself.
2013-present means they have only done SRIV, which can fuck off tbh
