Germany turned on Japan after WW2 in the Wolfenstein universe.
oooh, thanks. I really should go back and play them, I've only played that one that came out in 2009 or whatever
i could be wrong, but i think Germany betrayed Japan and Italy after the war. though with the inclusion of the klan in this game i wonder if they'll have more of a presence.
Germany turned on all of their allies post-war, and then gobbled up the neutral nations that basically had no ability to stand against them. Also they colonized the moon
oooh, thanks. I really should go back and play them, I've only played that one that came out in 2009 or whatever
This is only the case in the canon of The New Order I believe, just one game. But, I HIGHLY fucking recommend it if you haven't played it. Hell, get the fuck out of this thread right now and play it. Open up steam and buy that--I will fucking buy it for you PM me for fuck's sake
Why should I when today's standards are about people getting triggered over the word "pretty" and instead of having equally good looking video game characters of different skin color we're getting garbage like this
Lmao, this is such conformation bias bullshit. You are only seeing SJWs ruining your games!! because you are looking for it when it's not really there. I could easily dig up five times as many grizzled white male protagonists with short brown hair and stubble- and use my own dumb collage to make the exact opposite point. And at least 6 of them would sound like exactly the same fucking bloke as a result of them all being voiced by fucking Troy Baker.
Holy shit. Is wanting a black character with normal looking face instead of one of a meth addict too much to ask? Actually screw this. Go back to trailer discussion.
But that's not what you complained about? you complained that the black character had a similar hairstyle to 3 other black characters from other games (two of which are set in similar time periods with similar fashion trends, why are you so shocked that they wear their hair in similar styles? that's literally how trends work) and whinged about diversity quotas in a game about fighting fucking nazis, and how you wanted to play as the bad guys instead. First word that comes to my mind looking at this character is "angry" where the fuck are you getting "meth addict" from?
spoiler about the trailer end, for those who haven't played Old Blood or missed a detail in it: [sp]Hitler is strongly implied to be sort of undead after a "failed" assassination attempt by BJ before the events of the newer games - the coughing and limp could be related to that.[/sp]
spoiler about the trailer end, for those who haven't played Old Blood or missed a detail in it: [sp]Hitler is strongly implied to be sort of undead after a "failed" assassination attempt by BJ before the events of the newer games - the coughing and limp could be related to that.[/sp]
So the events of Wolfenstein 3d never took place?
So the events of Wolfenstein 3d never took place?
They did. [sp]Hence him having to be resurrected[/sp]
They did. [sp]Hence him having to be resurrected[/sp]
I got it, I researched the timeline and it seems like it's all alt timelines
They did. [sp]Hence him having to be resurrected[/sp]
Maybe Return to Castle Wolfenstein's project started up again.
They did. [sp]Hence him having to be resurrected[/sp]
But BJ acts like it was his first time being in the castle in The Old Blood.
That "diversity quota" character at the beginning made me want even more a Wolf-like game about being a german commando going turbo Wehrmacht on Allied Forces based on WWII caricatures. (User was banned for this post ("All black characters are apparently just tokens." - GunFox))
shame that we lost our token Isreali member for a few days, now we need another Isreali member to fill the quote, know of anyone? Hopefully they can avoid this or play it off cleverly, there are way more interesting nazi's than hitler
didn't they avoid hitler for the new wolf games to avoid it being about him? Definitely gonna binge the heck out of them soon, do any of the older ones still hold up okay?
Missed out on the first one because my PC was kinda shit, but now it's good. Definitely gonna binge the heck out of them soon, do any of the older ones still hold up okay?
return to castle wolfenstein will always be great
Only semi-related but for some reason they decided to further cement Wolfenstein 09 as canon in Quake Champions. If only they'd actually sell the damn game.

Kinda' like a decaying, zombified chuck-e-cheese mascot.
Only semi-related but for some reason they decided to further cement Wolfenstein 09 as canon in Quake Champions.
They did? How?
They did? How?
One of his lore pages mentioned the Black Sun Dimension IIRC.
They did? How?
His character bio references his mission in Isenstadt and even mentions the Black Sun dimension. EDIT
Only semi-related but for some reason they decided to further cement Wolfenstein 09 as canon in Quake Champions. If only they'd actually sell the damn game.
Wolfenstein 09 was already considered canon with the return of Caroline Becker
IIRC, the writers just pick and choose what they want out of the previous stories. Somethings happened, some didn’t.
if a game let you play as a german in the WW2 era, the most you'd get to fight is communist soviets Wolfenstein: Red Alert nazi superscience versus soviet superscience actually that would be pretty rad
Wermacht werewolves fighting against soviet stazsi vampires in soviet occupied germany. You could even make it less nazi by having the werewolves being unwilling patients in nazi experiments who were then scheduled for destruction but their train was stopped by US paras who accidentally released them. Pay me a tenner and the idea its yours to do with what you will
IIRC, the writers just pick and choose what they want out of the previous stories. Somethings happened, some didn’t.
I consider the current canon timeline to have started with Return to Castle Wolfenstein, since that's where Blazkowicz meets Deathshead for the first time. Any game before that is fair game. [editline]18th October 2017[/editline] I don't even know why people wouldn't consider Wolfenstein 2009 canon. It's where B.J. meets Caroline Becker and it also shows how Deathshead got his face horribly mangled.
His character bio references his mission in Isenstadt and even mentions the Black Sun dimension. EDIT
as much as the black sun dimension sounds like complete garbage, one could argue that they made a teleporter next to a black hole and figured out how to harness energy around it. I know it's much more logical than ~ancient jew science~ but for some reason I find genius magic jews easier to accept than a dimension of magic

I'm pretty sure The Old Blood is supposed to be a kinda sorta remake of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. If we're being strict, I think you should probably consider The New Order and The New Colossus to be in their own distinct timeline, with a lot of story elements borrowed from other Wolfenstein games.
Then go on, you're free to call me racist for not liking certain black character in certain video game. I sounded my opinion, you sounded yours. [sp]the end[/sp]
Holy fuck, Israel must be so fucking xenophobic. Edit: Mick Gordon is some kind of fucking Nobuo Uematsu of wrecking shit and kicking teeth. I hope they release a Soundtrack.
I hope they release a Soundtrack.
Dude if they don't I'm gonna cry. Every piece of music in any teaser, short five second clip on YouTube or Facebook.. EVERYTHING!! Sounds so fucking great. Mick Gordon is an absolute babe.
Wait, aren't those four individuals in the end the Beatles?
I mean, they look nothing like the Beatles other than the one guy with the Lennon-esque glasses, but that may as well just be a shoutout to 60s psychedelia.
