Sounds like nobody's on Bungie's side. As it should be The music is par for the course for Marty. Masterful composer Part of me wishes that he were more famous than Hans "my work is samey" Zimmer and the like

Same with Marty, who loves the fuck out of strings. His work heavily uses subdued sweeping strings. Mick Gordon fucking loves synthesizers.

I fucking love Joe Staten. To hear of him getting close to Halo again is so great. (He's now at Microsoft Studios) [editline]26th December 2017[/editline] Pretty sure he also just wrote another Halo book too [editline]26th December 2017[/editline]
Same with Marty, who loves the fuck out of strings. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think McCartney's sound meshes too well with Marty's. The rest of the album is this epic orchestral soundtrack that wouldn't sound out of place in a movie, but Hope adds in Paul's immediately recognizable voice, electric guitar and ultimately ends up with this weirdly pop-y sound that's IMO a little jarring when held next to the rest of the soundtrack. I remember feeling conflicted about it when Hope For The Future played over Destiny's credits, and it still doesn't sound right to me now, with all due respect to Paul & Marty. Plus we got this utterly bizarre video out of it where McCartney in hologram form performs the song in-game and it's just
This is some pretty awesome stuff. I'd never heard of it before but I wasn't really into Destiny
For the record though, I still love the rest of the album. I just think that one particular part of it feels a little... Off. ODST is probably my personal favorite soundtrack of O'Donnell and Salvatori's, bar none.

It's definitely a weird song and out of place in Destiny, but I kinda like it. edit: I mean, it's at least nowhere near as bad as this:
him writing recore gives me a reason to buy it didnt know that
It's actually got a decent if, unfinished story! Shame the game has so much jank though, I love it despite that. [editline]27th December 2017[/editline] every time i read more into what destiny could've been, ive compiled actually a bunch of stuff and old art just to piece together what was the original idea around it out of curiousity, the more I get mad we got this half-baked excuse of an mmo instead of what was originally one of the most ambitious projects made by one of the most capable teams in the industry [editline]27th December 2017[/editline] it frustrates me to no end that destiny could've been one of the best games ever made, it had everything going for it, ruined by executive meddling [editline]27th December 2017[/editline] video games make me want to be dead
and another thing about destiny, the only thing left to leak is the Supercut before the delay and remake of the entire universe. A Lead writer made a 10 year plan story wise but people in higher management bungie hated it and told them to rebuild it. that writer shortly left bungie after launch. expect that to be way harder to leak than the spheres.
Not just rebuild the thing, they totally scrapped the supercut. The last year of development before launch was spent piecing together the parts of the game already built and interweaving a story into it. After seeing what D2 did to Osiris, I really want to know what the original plan was.

Osiris would be your mentor. He would have a assistant who is now known as the Exo Stranger. The Prince from the reef was basically a awoken cayde 6. His name was probably "The Crow" The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King would be part of the vanilla game. this is why if you play the story for the first time with the dark below DLC installed, the dark below missions get unlocked at a point where they usually would before the reboot. The Grand Finale would of been on the Dreadnaught. I've said it before with Sonic Team and i'm gonna say it with Bungie now. Goddamn i miss old Bungie.
Having grown up with Halo this makes me so happy. Halo 2's menu music is the most nostalgic feeling in the world and being able to hear this is beyond words.
The worst aspect is that I really enjoyed Destiny 1 despite it's flaws and after Taken King and Rise of Iron, the game became really stellar and a blast to play. The universe, gameplay and music that was created felt really unique and atmospheric. I always liked booting the game up and enjoying myself with friends. That said Bungie had some pretty shitty business practises with their dlc in the first game. But what they have done with Destiny 2 is just despicable and horrible, I won't touch the game ever again and I regret buying the season pass of the game.
I miss the Microsoft Bungie. While I never played D1 or plan on playing D2 due to reasons others have probably stated, I always enjoyed the music Marty created and i'll be listening through all of this.
