I just love the characters and the fun roller coaster ride of the GTA's, now we got three in one!?! Can't help but sense that the "Ghetto Gangster thing" in San Andreas has more charm than Franklin's part of the story, looks typical and very played out. Time will tell.
they nailed the lighting this time
They nailed the lighting and shading harder than Trevor hit that Lost member in the head with his bat.
Not as excited as the rest of you honestly. Rich guy going through a midlife crisis, the gangster trying to get out of the ghetto, and a speedfreak. If I had a dollar...But anyway I'm sure the execution of the story + how these gentleman's fates intertwine will be the real star of the show.
People always overlook how good GTA's stories are there's nothing in the medium that comes close to these tales of greed and revenge
Comes out a day after my birthday. Fuck yeah. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline]
People always overlook how good GTA's stories are there's nothing in the medium that comes close to these tales of greed and revenge
I know a lot of people who didn't like the stories in GTA 4. The only one I wasn't really a fan of was Ballad of Gay Tony.
People always overlook how good GTA's stories are there's nothing in the medium that comes close to these tales of greed and revenge
Rockstar's cinematic and writing team are among the best if not THE BEST. Seriously, Vice City was the first game where the cutscenes truly felt like something out of a genuine mobster movie with a sadistic comedic touch. It was the first game that I can think of that showed real polish and quality in the in-game cutscene aspect of games.
Oh my fucking god if the combat is reminiscent of Max Payne 3. Game of the year every fucking year
Oh my fucking god if the combat is reminiscent of Max Payne 3. Game of the year every fucking year
And then, when the PC version rolls around, someone mods in shootdodging and bullet time. :v:
Uhg, I want the turf war like in SA I loved that shit for some reason. Ooh, I also hope we can do crazy bank heists with Michael, and I know now who I would go on a killing spree with.
I think I know who I'm gonna freeroam as. Trevor, because that's my name.
Hopefully they took even more from MP3 and gave us duel wielding now double pistol action would be so fucking cool
I wouldnt have bought a PS3 if gta 5 never existed.
I have a feeling that Franklin's story will be much, much deeper than just a generic gangster, making two interesting characters and one generic one wouldn't make any sense
Hopefully they took even more from MP3 and gave us duel wielding now double pistol action would be so fucking cool
You could duel wield uzi's in GTA:SA after you upgraded
I have a feeling that Franklin's story will be much, much deeper than just a generic gangster, making two interesting characters and one generic one wouldn't make any sense
I don't think he is going to be generic. The dialogue in the trailer portrays him as someone who is getting isolated from his peers because they don't think he is 100% dedicated. Him being called a snitch etc. So I don't think hes going to be hanging around being a gang banger for very long.

GIVE ME THE CHAOS fuck man i cannot wait this is going to be so cash like seriously theres going to be all that PLOT
That is a really good screen capture. This Nightride FM is going to be necessary with cars like this.
Kavinsky is oddly fitting for the DJ role on that station.
I think that the switching between 3 characters adds innovation as well. You can use their positions to your advantage and technically there could be many different ways to do a mission. Pretty amazing. Rockstar has never half-assed any game.

Was fucking annoying, I wouldn't mind turf wars if I didn't have to constantly protect them.
aaa let's be name buddies
Awww yeah.

I think I can plot out the story for the game from the three trailers. Michael was in the high time crime business before, made shitloads of money and wanted to be the family man as he was set for life, but now he wants back in. Franklin is apart of the Grove Street Families who is urged strongly by close ones in his life to leave, but his life belongs to the family. Trevor is just a bat shit crazy drug dealer in the country. It makes sense now in the sense of Michael's story that was displayed at the end of the second trailer, where they all meet together. Michael has money, Franklin has experience, Trevor has the means of making profit. Either this is going to be about the re-upbringing of the Grove Street Families after the "death of CJ in 1992," or a completely new gang with them as allies. Makes some sense. Yeah I know that CJ did not die at the end of GTA:SA, but there was an easter egg in GTAIV which implied that he did die somewhere around that time, and assuming from the trailer where the "today's technology" was shown in the trailers plus smart phones being emphasized in GTAIV, it is probably a correct assumption that this is based around today and could be a possibility that CJ no loger exists.

Trevor really reminds me of Jack Nicholsen. [editline]1st May 2013[/editline]
Woah Trevor even kind of looks like Jack Nicholson, nice touch there.
Damnit. Either way, while some people veer towards Michael, and some seem to prefer Franklin, I think my character is going to be Trevor.

The graphics have improved like crazy.
Trevor reminds me of a mix of The Joker and Johnny Knoxville, and I love that mixture.
While I feel like I'm going to really enjoy playing every guy from that trio, I think Michael is going to be my favorite. His life isn't going anywhere and he's desperate for a way out. He's also kinda pathetic. Reminds me of myself.
