"you will definitely enjoy your time with this movie" is a weird thing to say considering that most people are panning it [editline]4th April 2017[/editline] (because it's really bad)
now that we know you hate it, we know it'll be great thanks rust [editline]4th April 2017[/editline]
in the least I hope not until benedict retires, sherlock fangirls have been trying to push for him as spike for ages [t]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/91/87/b8/9187b818fb6ba2774a742e3be9e1d14e.jpg[/t] both of these pictures are bad
As much as I love Benedict his type of acting just doesn't seem like it'd fit in with Spike at all I just can't see how it could possibly translate, regardless of how much he could get into the role
I did not like this movie at all for a lot of reasons. It's hard to condense exactly why, but I just felt it was extremely tone deaf as to what the original was about, replacing it with an incredibly moribund story about revenge, deception and betrayal that at times felt like it was actively going against everything the original tried to convey, especially the incredibly weak ending. And even if you've never seen the original it's just not a very good film. The action is alright, but it can't make up for the fact that the basic plot is uninspired and riddled with cliches and trite dialogue.
in what way is it enjoyable is it when every line of dialogue either makes you groan or scratch your head and wonder 'but why?', or when the action is so lifeless you could fall asleep?
Have you seen the new Assassin's Creed movie? Literal quote from the movie
"You are son of your father." "What does it mean?!"
It honestly can't get worse, or else GitS would've been panned even harder.
Fresh take on the characters and visually unimpeachable. Only aspect that merits criticism is the dialogue, but it pales in comparison to the garbo writing from SAC or the 1995 film, and the great performances from the leads more than compensate. GitS has always been a franchise driven by its aesthetic, and this movie is the first in the canon that actually understands visual storytelling. It's better than the original. Hell, it's better than any version of GitS.
So when can we expect a live action Cowboy Bebop movie?
What is the point of a western live-action Cowboy Bebop in a timeline with Firefly in it?
