Hey guys
Its a kids TV show.
When I was a kid I watched the Star Wars movies. You don't need to make a show dumb and shitty to appeal to kids, unless you're literally targeting toddlers.
No, Detours was only postponed, same with Star Wars 3D. Seth Green, who is heavily involved, stated that the show might be released after Episode VII
It really is Space Alladin.
That stupid fucking slingshot.
Slingshots....in star wars...yup I'm done with this series. Could get better though
Even though SW detours was shit, it was still better animated than this

This reminds me of what they did to Teen Titans. Eurgh god.

Laser crossbow.
Laser crossbow.
The bowcaster didn't fire lasers, it fired a special type of ammunition essentially wrapped in energy that resembles a laser fired from a blaster.
The main difference between this and the laser slingshot is that the slingshot hasn't had forty years of now technically non-canon expanded universe writers making it not fucking stupid.

A part of me was hoping that no one cared/was smart enough to call that out.

Then maybe we should wait 40 years before calling it a stupid idea.

I didn't know that until I looked it up, I responded because the EU is/was ludicrously detailed. If somebody appeared on screen for two seconds as part of the background they have a detailed backstory, and every object has some detailed purpose and justification for how it works.

Yeah, I assumed people would more or less associate bowcasters as mere laser weapons due to their/it's appearance and portrayal as such in the movies, rather than what's stated on the wiki.
As such with the whole reconfiguring of the expanded universe, I expect to see this "slingshot" propagate and expand itself through future media like most things in Star Wars tend to do.

But the slingshot looks so clunky and awkward.

He could have made it himself for all we know. The damn thing is pretty inconspicuous and doesn't seem that powerful outside of stunning someone who wearing a body suit or clothing. But hey we all know that he's replacing his slingshot with a blaster/lightsaber combo.

Lets be real here.
They did it because they wouldn't be able to market toy blasters but they sure as hell can market 50 different kinds of "NON LETHAL Energy wrist casters".
How silly!

I think toy blasters would sell more.
Yeah kids love guns.
Especially laser guns.
the other cartoon was really great. or at least it was what the movies should have been, which is, not complete SHIT. The Clone wars, even as a cartoon did wonderfully. Everything was pretty damn good and I really feel they told the story correctly because of it.
this is just, wat.
Compare it to this: which is by no means flawless, and has its own problems, but the sense of life and movement is so much better.

what i really really liked about this series was that there was hardly any music during the scenes like when the "arc troopers" are doing their shit, it gave it more of a serious tone and i think if the right people remade it, maybe even with live action, it could be an amazing movie / series, i saw so much potential in that scene where they're all getting out of the crashed ship and there were snipers in the buildings, all it took was a war movie styled zzzzzZZZIP of a sniper bullet and a clone's head getting blown off and a less silly looking firefight and it would have been pretty cool
also, this does general grievous a lot more justice than the last movie did

[editline] . [/editline]
the only thing i'm looking forward to in the star wars franchise these days is the new battlefront
