In fighter jets there are hydraulic computers (made with logic gates) to help land the plane if there is an EMP or the primary computer controls go out for some reason.
Hydraulic computers? Or do you mean computers to control the hydraulics? Logic gates aren't immune to EMPs...guess what the main computer is made of? (Hint: logic gates)

This fella survived. Somehow.
The guy who got sucked in was wearing an unfastened helmet. When he was sucked in, his helmet got sucked in first and damage the jet's turbine.
This caused the jet's computers to immediately shut down the engines and the guy survived.
So if you planning to get sucked into an engine and survive (an interesting plan to say the least), throw something inside first and hope that the plane has advance enough computers to recognize that it's engine is fucked up.

I believe you mixed up something, the only thing that hydraulics control is the control system (longitudinal, directional, lateral control and even landing gear) itself but not inherently an autopilot.
Most modern autopilots are comprised of computer controlling the control system. Although most high-performance aircraft use hydraulics rather than fly-by-wire because of its light weight and speed compared to electrical servos.
I've been to the one in the OP, I've only managed to stand in the way of a bigger one once, because as soon as it starts to go, it's seriously fucking painful, not to mention the fact that if you're standing up or even leaning forward, you're getting sent back into the ocean. There's like one or two big departures every couple hours, and if the pilot decides to make a spectacle, there's not going to be anyone left standing up behind it.
The worst thing is that there are some people there that are just there to be on the beach, and don't realize that their pack full of camera gear and legal documents/keycards/whatever is going to fly off into the distance of the ocean, where some kind souls are swimming to return any lost valuables
I can't help but remember this one time when it was really busy, people started putting anything that was laying around into a giant pile. I think there were like 6 pairs of sandals, 3 or 4 backpacks, some towels, camera gear, etc

Also cool is parallel landing at SFO.

The aircraft in the video is a Boeing 747-400, the largest kind of 747, and the only larger aircraft are Airbus A380s, which can't land at Princess Juliana International.
So I don't think you saw what you think you saw.

Bigger as in the upper range of plane sizes

I live near here, and I remember recently the local gazette had the headline, "747 landed at Barra airport" , but it turns out it was a group of flight simulator enthusiasts that did it. In Flight Simulator. X.

Honestly, it's not that bad, at least compared to other things that bad, thankfully the person was mangled up enough to see it not as a person.
Schiphol airport has some pretty neat safety too. This moat along this part of the airport is all that keeps people from the airfield. In winter it freezes over and it's possible just to walk across.

Still though, knowing that was once a person literally everywhere is crazy

CATIII landings are more common than hand flown landings.
Incase anyone is interested, airports like Innsbruck, St Marteens and Lukla require a certain type of rating on both pilot 1 and pilot 2s licences. You cannot fly into there commercially (ie, carrying passengers and/or cargo) unless you posses this rating. It is not part of the standard CPL/ATPL syllabus and as such, crew that operate at these airports are very highly trained. Similarly, the runway at St Marteens is not much different than that at most other commercial fields. The threshold of the runway (this is where the material goes from a "soft" compound to a "hard" compound - in other words, it signifies where aircraft can safely touch down without having their gear damage the tarmac) is displaced by quite some distance, and as a result flight crew are going to overshoot that perimeter fence by a good 100-200 meters. Furthermore, when the aircraft are above the beach they are almost certainly above their "minimum" decision height - the height with which flight crew decide whether to commit to a landing or abort it. The aircraft itself will be well past the beach and across the perimeter and, thanks to the displaced threshold, they will make the decision to land or not after having passed the onlookers.
Regardless, it makes it no less impressive..

Only 2-3 men ever trespassed by going over the river, within seconds they were removed from the airfield. Also that is enough to keep people outside instead of building a fence around it

Jet engine blades are made of titanium, an inflatable ball won't do shit to it.

They still built a fence around it. The moat's there so that it slows down people who came over the fence.

I was talking about small streetcars/trolleys that move you around in the parking lot.
Now I want to watch that movie now, haven't seen it in a long time.
