CERTIFIED DICE QUALITY BALANCE CODING AND MAPPING
$129.99 AMERICAN DOLLARS PUT TO GOOD USE
[sp]ok ok i get it it's just beta like even i enjoyed the game[/sp]
Inaccurate. At no point did he start a match with no weapons.
You don't know valor until you've started a game where most of your team has no weapons yet you still press on, scrambling to pick up guns off of enemies that get killed by those who do have weapons or are in vehicles. All while still having a good time and eventually WINNING.
Been meaning to ask, what is that little hiss inhale sound effect battlefield uses? I think it has been a thing since BF3 (last I've played until the bf1 open beta, which also has it). 3:37 in vid has two, but they're scattered throughout the video as well.
I really expected SMB2 music.
most of these bugs he showed probably won't even be fixed in the final game

I think it either indicates that your health regen has started, or that you've regenerated to 100%

Many of the more annoying bugs were fixed.
That use of MEC theme brought back some fun memories

Fuck not being able to climb up the rocks, friend and I were trying to sneak up on a scout but I kept falling down and had to circle the entire butte until being able to get up
had to circle the entire butte until being able to get up
Oh my
It happened in Battlefront aswell, you'd think they'd have fixed it lol

Occasionally starting with no equipment is historically accurate

Stalingrad game when?
Occasionally starting with no equipment is historically accurate
"It's a feature!"
I think they fixed the no weapons bug too.
It's official, DICE can't make good video games anymore. RIP

A buggy beta.
WOW, DICE CAN'T MAKE VIDEO GAMES!

DICE have never released a game that wasn't totally fucked on launch apart from Mirrors Edge.
The older Battlefield games were rife with bugs, exploits and general shitty mechanics on launch. DICE usually do a decent job of fixing them up, but you can't catch everything during play testing. So launch jank is to be expected in games that try and do as much as the Battlefield series tries.
i still don't get why every round is a tracer and a rather exaggerated one at that. did they just get addicted to high-speed glowsticks when they made Battlefront?

tracers are a balance thing, allows people to see where sniper shots are coming from, or where people are holed up at. if they didn't have tracers, 90% of skirmishes would be not knowing what the fuck is going on.
As long as they're not game breaking bugs can make a game that little bit more special. Sometimes.

Battlefield 3 wouldn't be the same if I couldn't send quad bikes and dirt bikes into low Earth orbit with a few AT mines and a crater.
Best way to get behind enemy lines. End of discussion.

I'm saying this not because of the buggy beta, Battlefront, BF Hardline, BF4, and BF3 have all been complete garbage. They haven't put out a good game since BC2, which was 6 years ago. DICE literally can not make a good video game anymore.

I don't ever judge a game on it's beta but they've been getting progressively buggier which each iteration in the series and the time between fixes has also been getting worse. BF4 was unplayable for an entire year before a patch was put out to fix all it's major problems, and theres still big issues with the netcoding in it today.

Wait, have you even played the beta? Everyone saying it's the best Battlefield since BC2. Maybe you should play a game before you make a final judgement.

put probably 15-20 hours into it on PC and Xbone. Reminds me a lot of Battlefront in that it's basically "Fischer Prices: Baby's first FPS". It's so watered down it's not even funny.
Idk how the fuck do people even compare the game with Battlefront aside from the UI, gorgeous graphics and usual objectively best sounds design.
Literally one game's meta is point and click while the other has a meta that's slightly deeper and more skill based than the previous 3 Battlefield's that's even sometimes compared to BF2 and other classic BFs if that's anything noteworthy. Not to mention the usual Battlefield stuff like vehicles and Michael Bay explosions left and right.
But whatever then, any game that has objectively great sound design and a clean UI is automatically a Battlefront clone.
This beta was a fucking blast~

those fucking light tanks were so overpowered. i was such sweaty nerd with it and got a 48 killstreak at one point.

Considering it's been the same game since BF3 I'm not really sure this excuse holds any water.
