I'd say its graphics are DEFINITELY not aging, it's been 9 years and it still looks pretty rad. I sort of agree with you graphics-wise, but it's still pretty atmospheric every time I play it. It's like playing Doom just because there's its iconic 'thing' it has, Half-life 2 definitely has an iconic 'feel' to it aswell.
It may be scripted, but it's definitely not obvious at first sight.

This made me replay HL2 again.

Graphics only thing that have really aged, but animations, AI, facial animations, and scripted shit along with that god tier atmosphere are all still there.

And holy fuck its a long ass game for something thats straight up linear.
