Reminds me of that one terrifying video where the guy throws mice and hamsters into a tank with a giant snapping turtle, which seemed more interesting in ripping them in half than it did eating them. At least this gives the mouse a chance at surviving.
Future serial killer? No, not really. Yeah, it's a bit on the morbid side, but it's normal to get excited over shit like this. It's why people have dog fighting, and rooster fighting. People who participate in those events aren't serial killers, humans just have a thing for bloodsports. Bare-knuckle fighting, gladiatorial combat, the list goes on and on. Hell, they even have insect fighting in Japan. It's not for everyone (myself included, if I was going to feed my pet live animals, I'd at least chuck the mouse in right away rather than give it the false hope of escape), but it sure as fuck doesn't make them future serial killers lol
This is like the only site that has people defend ticks and roaches, so I'm not surprised there is posts saying this clearly means he is a sociopath.
its not really to do with just simply feeding snakes mice. its how that person uses it for personal enjoyment which dictates whether it is healthy not.
I was more fascinated by how the the snake was able to find the mouse, even through the corners. As weird as it is, it's an interesting look into how a snake hunts. (Even if it's in a different environment)
Oh man I gotta try that out sometime.
Pitting two animals against each other doesn't make one 'mentally unsound'. Humans have used animals in all sorts of scenarios for entertainment and betting ect for hundreds of years.
and now it's illegal because we recognize it's fucking cruel.
its a freaken mouse, its not like we're throwing humans into a giant snake maze
So just because it's a mouse it's ok to have it killed in such a way all for the pleasure and entertainment of nitwits. ok
Pitting two animals against each other doesn't make one 'mentally unsound'.
This is like the only site that has people defend ticks and roaches, so I'm not surprised there is posts saying this clearly means he is a sociopath.
Do you know just how different roaches and ticks are to mice?
So just because it's a mouse it's ok to have it killed in such a way all for the pleasure and entertainment of nitwits. ok
Who cares if we get entertainment out of it, it's going to be eaten whether or not we made a video out of it
This is pretty much just conflicting perspectives; to snake owners this is just a creative way to feed their snake, to others its animal cruelty. It's in the same domain as people building PC's as a strictly superior and people who have never seen the inside of a PC. Or more controversially the military using torture as a means to get information and the general public seeing it as inhumane.
Who cares if we get entertainment out of it, it's going to be eaten whether or not we made a video out of it
Oh so that automatically means that it's ok and arguing about it is a waste of time. Thank you so much for clearing that up for me I'll see myself out now
Personally, while it may seem a little cruel I think it's a good workout for the snake, letting it 'hunt' for it's prey rather than just fed to it up front. It would provide both a mental and physical workout.
You could always just set a dead frozen mouse at the end of a maze though.
You could always just set a dead frozen mouse at the end of a maze though.
Thinking about it thats probably a better idea, saves the snake from any injuries the mouse may potentially cause while still providing a challenge.
If I ever had a pet snake I'd probably kill the rats I fed it with, probably by drowning or putting the rat on a trouser/pillow sheet and bashing it once on a wall, which would probably kill it. Then give it to the snake.
ugh no, fuck that, I had a pet snake (Well my brother did) and the pet store didn't have any frozen/dead mice and our snake couldn't eat live mice at the time so we had to do that, and that sound it made when it hit the wall was just...fucking awful, that shit is imprinted in my brain forever, and this was when I was in like, middle school :(
instead of bashing the poor fucker against the wall, why didn't you just stick it in a freezer so it freezes to death?
um what pet snakes get fed mice sobotnik, i don't understand how this is suddenly an issue [editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
instead of bashing the poor fucker against the wall, why didn't you just stick it in a freezer so it freezes to death?
isn't that a far slower and crueller method of killing something rather than just braining it with good old blunt force trauma?
instead of bashing the poor fucker against the wall, why didn't you just stick it in a freezer so it freezes to death?
Or better yet just press a pencil on the back of it neck?

have you ever fed a snake, sometimes you need a way to cope with killing another animal life (in this case, an interesting maze)
I think there is something mentally wrong with these people.
To be honest barely anyone of us are not mentaly disturbed because we humans don't live in our real natural habit.
uh oh, i hope this doesn't turn into that tick thread
Soooo, a guy feeds his pet snake live mice like everyone else but just does it in a slightly more interesting way and this makes him a future serial killer? ok
It's fucking cruel. Not interesting.
Give it 5 years and he'll be using humans.
Five years? I want it now.
It's fucking cruel. Not interesting.
so instead of feeding the mouse to the snake outright, putting it in a maze and getting a chuckle out of it is cruel hmm okay
I had a teacher in the 5th grade that had 3 pet snakes and to feed them she had a male rat and a female rat. They constantly fucked and had babies and she fed the snakes the baby rats a few months after they were born
Thinking about it thats probably a better idea, saves the snake from any injuries the mouse may potentially cause while still providing a challenge.
Also less of a mess. And way less creepy.
It's fucking cruel. Not interesting.
Nature being Nature is cruel. Okay. [editline]14th June 2013[/editline] Im sorry but you do know snakes eat mice in the wild, right? And this mouse was bought for the sole purpose of being fed to a snake, right?
And of course I'm post number 40, quoted for new page.
You don't really have to quote for a new page, people don't just skip the last post in a page.
so instead of feeding the mouse to the snake outright, putting it in a maze and getting a chuckle out of it is cruel hmm okay
uhh, YES? You shouldn't play with death, even if it's just a mouse. Feed the snake to keep it alive, don't be a fucking asshole and scare the shit out of the mouse before killing it. It should be quick and painless. And i know, he would be scared if you were just throwing him into a cage with the snake, but damn. Can't you see how fucked up this is?

[editline]14th June 2013[/editline] Literally thousands of times every single day.
