go spit it you dont know what kind of things what could kind of dragon flies they have
What did you just say?
Wow what an asshole.
What did you just say?
It is a direct quote from the woman near the end of the video
I fucking HATE it when you can see the animal trying its hardest, y'know, not to die while people are stood there laughing at watching like it's @funny lol
That's fucked
^ Thank you I see everything clearly now Oh, do they now? Name one thing that doesn't bite.
are you for real lol
I have a hard time imagining what sort of thing has to happen in your brain to suddenly feel the urge to eat an insect.
Most insects when properly cooked taste great and are a great source of protein
that kid is gonna hate his guts for the rest of his life. it's situations like this that scar you
The stupid ass dad telling her it was going to die anyway. Seriously? That did not make the situation any better. May as well say. "Yeah we killed your kitten. It was going to die anyway." Horrible parents. Horrible uncle. I feel bad for that kid.
Horrible parents. I feel bad for that kid.
I'm sorry, what exactly was the problem? At least he comforted her than say "Get over it, it's just a bug" which is what most people would probably do in this day and age..
What was the alternative? He was purely saying it to comfort her and make her calm down.
Sounded like he was teasing her to me
It is a dick move, but eating insects is not very unusual. They are consumed by billions of people every year intentionally. You have probably consumed them as well accidentally either as contaminates that meet the FDA approved levels or as food dye (any food containing cochineal or carmine has beetles in it).
Most insects when properly cooked taste great and are a great source of protein
Plus they are cheaper to farm, have excellent feed conversion rates, and are better for the environment that most protein sources in the west. I am seriously considering ordering some insects and having a taste party
I will never in my life eat insects
The best part is that he ate it with the straightest face, besides those eyes.
I guess i'm the only one who thought it was hilarious It's just a dragonfly
EEUGHH.... Fucking nasty. Bear Grylls anyone? [editline]15th January 2014[/editline]
I guess i'm the only one who thought it was hilarious It's just a dragonfly
I agree, it was pretty funny. Fucking nasty, but funny.
better start expanding your horizons because we're steadily going toward having to farm them for food
Something tells me if we reach mass farming insects we will not eat them as recognisable insects. Try telling a massive majority, myself included, to stick anything that looks like a scorpion into my mouth.
i feel bad for the dragonfly :( but i still laughed just at how abrupt and weird the whole thing was. that guy is a huge asshole though.
I want to punch this guy in the face for doing that. Seriously, when someone tells you to stop, you fucking stop.
Poor kid was emotionally attached to that cute dragonfly.. guy is a hilarious weirdo tho.
I guess i'm the only one who thought it was hilarious It's just a dragonfly
What he did to the dragonfly doesn't make me angry, it's what he did to his niece.
Argh, he knew what he was doing right from the start. What a fucking creep.
Most insects when properly cooked taste great and are a great source of protein
Well, yeah. But the stressed part of my post was "suddenly feel the urge". I doubt that guy concerned himself over the apparent lack of proteins in his organism, so he absolutely had to eat that thing, there and then. It's just a weird thing to do.
What he did to the dragonfly doesn't make me angry, it's what he did to his niece.
That were my kid, he'd be eating some of his teeth as well.
that kid is gonna hate his guts for the rest of his life. it's situations like this that scar you
I'm pretty sure it's moments of abuse and ridicule which scar you. Eating a dragonfly will just become one of 'those stories'. "Remember when uncle ate that dragonfly?". [editline]15th January 2014[/editline]
That were by kid, he'd be eating some of his teeth as well.
Oh no, someone ate an insect my daughter temporarily gave a shit about. That's going to teach her many worse things about life then when I allow her to mindlessly sit in front of the television watching celebrity gossip and clips of whores grinding, stripping, and providing a false reality.
Oh no, someone ate an insect my daughter temporarily gave a shit about. That's going to teach her many worse things about life then when I allow her to mindlessly sit in front of the television watching celebrity gossip and clips of whores grinding, stripping, and providing a false reality.
What the fuck kind of tangent was that?
"Remember when uncle ate that dragonfly?". shit shit shit shit shit shit Oh no, someone ate an insect my daughter temporarily gave a shit about. shit shit shit shit shit shit
Seriously? 'heeey remember when that guy deliberately ran over your cat heh what a story that was' 'Oh no, someone ran over a mammal my daughter temporarily gave a shit about.' FUCKING seriously? Being emotionally attached to an animal is being emotionally attached to an animal, the fact that it's 'just an insect' doesn't really make it A-OK, esp. when he did it DELIBERATELY. The way the girl reacts to having her pet dragonfly get eaten is not that far from the way any of us would react if our pet got shot for absolutely NO reason.
You guys are absurd... Only on the internet could the death of a dragonfly have such impact.
What the fuck kind of tangent was that?
Just ridiculous how he'd punch someone in the face for eating a dragonfly; yet later in life, he'll no doubt pay no mind to things which are actually teaching his kids awful ideas.
The way the girl reacts to having her pet dragonfly get eaten is not that far from the way any of us would react if our pet got shot for absolutely NO reason.
The other girl in the room wasn't traumatised, sooo... it's really not an incident to get really this worked up about. I know the implications psychologically blah blah, but it teaches her a lesson to stay away from that kind of person later on in life. You can get angry, but I'd much rather allow myself to go through that experience to make it easier to let go of things later in life. This is just the way I would look at it than claim they're all horrible parents and horrible people :/
