Fanboys are the absolute worst. Not only are they missing so much by wanting to be "loyal" to a fucking gaming console, it's like they're expecting some reward for it as well. [editline]09:49PM[/editline] Back on topic, I'm interested in what kind of shooters can fit into Move. If executed correctly it shall be glorious.
ok I just recorded Heavy Rain gameplay including me. Uploading ATM, will be done in a few minutes. While you wait, check this Ping Pong sports champion demo I made before Heavy Rain. (Screen only, without me) [editline]09:58PM[/editline]
Back on topic, I'm interested in what kind of shooters can fit into Move.
The Move will always be far more accurate than the Kinect, while it may not seem as 'sleek' to use a controller over a 'hands free' approach. Kinect does alot of scans of surfaces infront of it per second, and commits them as rough models, but therein lies the problem. It will be very dependent on environment, lighting, even down to what you are wearing, to establish an accurate simulation. Whereas the Move only depends on the built in technology of the controllers. I have both consoles, have tried both concepts, and the Move wins hands down, it isn't the gimmick that the Kinect is. That tech needs atleast another 2 years of solid work on it to make it marketable.
You don't know what gimmick means, don't use the word.
does the move come with that sword fighting dealy bob from E3? [editline]11:14PM[/editline]
You don't know what gimmick means, don't use the word.
He's right, every single person I've heard talk about the Kinect who've played the kinect say it's slow, awkward, and in some cases almost non functional. The move at least has a fucking analogue stick so you can fucking play an actual fucking game. The Kinect just isn't practical, it does too little for too much money.
Im getting it next month! It looks so much better than that Kinect shit. I'm also going to get a gun thingy to mount the controller in. Will be awesome for shooters
I wanted to replay Heavy Rain again but haven't got the motivation to. My brother's getting the Move and I'm looking forward to playing Heavy Rain with the Move.

I'm honestly surprised by the accuracy and response on that thing. And here I was thinking it was going to be just another potential flop like Kinect.
I think we've all realized that Move is superior to Kinect. Now stop the silly flamewar.
Really? Every demo I've seen had at least as much delay as Kinect. The demos in this thread are videos after it has been through the processing. So of course that looks perfect. If you could see him actually play, not so much I think.
Woo buttons, amazing technology. Even the "stupid casual" shit for Kinect looks amazing imho. Can't wait to see what more serious developers do with it. Like Molyneux and Milo. While I'm sure Heavy Rain and shooters would be nice with this, this demo looked like total ass. There's also the question if anything will ever even come out for it. Even the Wii barely uses it's potential even though the wiimote is standard. It's not so much a question that comes up with Microsoft.
Where is that video of kinect flipping shit when you need it?
Seriously? Are you that blind?
I mean, the game.
I was really amazed how it tracked your controller and put 3d objects on it, but using it with games that was made for controller (heavy rain) looks somewhat stupid, I would rather sit on my couch with an sixaxis. I hope there will be some smart developers that will make serious games that uses it correctly and in a fun way. And seeing that Sony is not as nazi as microsoft, it may happen.
It looks like a dildo

The failure kinect video does make me think it looks horrible, but it's not released yet, is it? Maybe it's going to be better when it's released. I have both consoles and the downside with xbox for me is all the money you have to pay. In the long run the ps3 is cheaper. So I use the ps3 instead for now.
It looks like a dildo
ps tripple aight
Both kinect and move are released. [editline]04:36PM[/editline]
Actually, Heavy Rain Move Edition was made to sit down, I was just standing so that you can see me. [editline]05:02PM[/editline] :v:
I must say that it wasn't THAT bad when I was trying it myself but I didn't try and do weird moves either. It is pretty great when you move slowly and it is quite amazing to see it track you without you holding anything. But personally, I'd rather have something like the Move, a bit more "low-tech" but at least it is refined and works the way it is supposed to work. The "Kinect 2" (if it ever happens) will probably be the way the Kinect was intended to be.
Is the move edition of heavy rain is a separate game or just an option when you connect the controller to your console?
It's just an update, that's been currently released. It's not seperate. I just said move edition, because it says in the demo.

Holy shit, I was really surprised in the paint brush one, how "in his hand" it looked.
Okay, I think you just sold me. The previous public demos at E3 looked laggy as shit, but the final product looks fucking great. That Start the Party thing actually looks pretty cool. Would you say that Heavy Rain is at least two times better with Move? Because at this point that's what I would buy it for and I haven't done a second playthrough of it yet.
Would you say that Heavy Rain is at least two times better with Move? Because at this point that's what I would buy it for and I haven't done a second playthrough of it yet.
As far as demo goes, it's very balanced and very precise, when you use move. So yes, I would say it's more than 2 times better with move. And as far as difficulty goes, with sixaxis only, it's easy even on hard, but this time with move, it's way harder. But for better experience, I recommend that extra PS Move controller with analog stick on it, just to move around. It's cheap, so it's not a big problem to get one. By the way, I didn't say this before... Heavy Rain Move update has some new features actually. Not just move controller, but new ingame animations and things to do. Because there were some things in the demo, that aren't in the full game. Strange... Move update for Heavy Rain will come in a week or so by the way.
Just to add a few things, there are 3 smaller games on the PSN marketplace that you can buy, plus you can get that Tumble game on Buy and Download.
Just to add a few things, there are 3 smaller games on the PSN marketplace that you can buy, plus you can get that Tumble game on Buy and Download.
On UK account, there's more than 3 games. Plus I tried Golf, Racket Sports and Echochrome 2 now. Racket sports is kinda laggy, Golf is really good and Echochrome 2 is nice, just not a game for me. Too much thinking.
When they make a good sword fighting game with Move call me (something where I can properly swing however I want, and fast swings too), I'll pick up Move the very same day. That is one of the things I want motion controls for.
Snip

It looks great and very accurate. I will be getting this as it probably will make playing the future PS3 games much more fun.
