Dammit, I'm jealous.
When I bought the Starter Pack, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, so I didn't buy anything else.
Now that I've been playing the demos, I REALLY want to buy another controller and some of the games, but they ran out of them. The next day I checked their website and EVERYTHING that had ANYTHING to do with Move was sold out. :frown:
Not too interested in shabby casual/party titles so the Move isn't really anything for me, yet at least.
Perhaps I'll look into it at a later stage when we get to see some hardcore games using the Move. Killzone 3 for example.
my inner xbox fanboy wants to flame but it looks so damn good :smith:

That swedish game "the fight", which is some sort of fight-club stylish game is made for move. It's gritty so it's obv not casual, but I guess it can be pretty cool AND a good excercise.
I tried "The Shoot" again and it's actually quite fun. First time I played it, I calibrated it wrong. Now I did it right and it's really fun. Recommended to try the demo.
This looks really playable, heavy rain looks great on this
Way to make decisions without knowing what are you talking about. Wii just read the speed and pich/yav/roll of the controller. It can't tell where the controller is in the space, it can only tell how it is rotated in the world.
It can with the MotionPlus.
The Wii Remote with the MotionPlus attachment is almost the exact technology as the Move controller, and both are about as equally accurate. The only difference is that the Move can be used with the camera to recalibrate itself easier and create augmented reality.

I agree that they are essentially the same thing, but just as accurate?
huehuehuehue.

Yes.

It's possible that the Move is slightly more accurate in that sense, but the tech in each controller is almost exactly the same. Like I said, it's the camera that helps it work better.
Based on the colors in the user environment captured by the PlayStation Eye webcam, the system dynamically selects an orb color that can be distinguished from the rest of the scene. The colored light serves as an active marker, the position of which can be tracked along the image plane by the PlayStation Eye.[12][13] The uniform spherical shape and known size of the light also allows the system to simply determine the controller's distance from the PlayStation Eye through the light's image size, thus enabling the controller's position to be tracked in three dimensions[13][14] with high precision and accuracy.
A pair of inertial sensors inside the controller, a three-axis linear accelerometer and a three-axis angular rate sensor, are used to track rotation as well as overall motion.[12][15] An internal magnetometer is also used for calibrating the controller's orientation against the Earth's magnetic field to help correct against cumulative error (drift) by the inertial sensors.[4] The inertial sensors can be used for dead reckoning in cases which the camera tracking is insufficient, such as when the controller is obscured behind the player's back.[11]

That's still not what gimmick means.
The device itself isn't really a gimmick but the games are.
Those shitty third-party games that you normally see on the Wii will soon be clogging up the 360 shelves.
Not really a problem for the PS3 because it has a lot of adult oriented games coming up.
Lol

I love this guy, no homo.
This is definitely going to beat Kinect among serious gamers, Sony isn't marketing Move towards the casuals like Microsoft is.
Also, I must get one of these before the release of LittleBigPlanet 2...
I love Xbox 360, but Playstation Move is so much better than Kinect.
Kinect, you aren't doing anything to interact with the game, Playstation Move you are by holding controllers, playing with two of them is really awesome.
Oh and Start The Party is really fucking cheesy.

Nah it looks pretty fun.
Exactly what I was thinking. I liked how you moved the controller close to the camera to check the frog and paintbrush out, lol, looks really awesome.
Do you think that someday we will get a sword fighting game that isn't crap?
Sword fighting is not 8 direction swinging and a block button.
Also this makes me want to get a PS3 but I can't really justify purchasing it.
I find it kind of funny that Nintendo started the whole motion-sensor thing and then their competitor comes along and blows them out of the water on a console that was never intended to do so.

Not really. The only big difference between the two is that the Move works with a camera, which makes it a bit more accurate and allows for augmented reality. Considering the Wii's been out for 4 years now, it's no real surprise that a competitor's been able to improve on the idea.
Lol the guy had manboobs and beerbelly.
Whoa, that looks really cool!
