Where did he get a serval?
I have no idea where she got it from, as they're illegal in Australia, and probably most places around the world. Probably cost a fortune.

How come you've never asked?
I always wanted to have a small wild cat. The closest I can have is something like Syberian forest lynx or something that would just kill me.

This one is the best because it's so obviously fake, it's like a spoof of the other ones.

You could try getting a Savannah cat or the likes.
F1 Savannah = ~53% serval
F2 = ~29%
F3 = ~16%
But they are extremely expensive and rare if bought from reputable breeders. F1's are $10,000 - $30,000 each, and gets cheaper the more you dilute the serval traits.
Not really worth it unless you're rich as fuck.
I only really looked into them because apparently they love water, bond well with their owners and other people if around people from a young age.
And one of the cats that love going for walks, on a leash or what not.
The serval I've been around actually isn't declawed, and is the single most chill cat I've ever seen in my life. Waits for dinner next to its bowl every night, goes outside on the front lawn and sleeps on the grass soaking up the sun watching people walk by, and sometimes climbs on the roof and sleeps on the roof, and people on the street can see it sleeping up there. Hell, the cat even lets strangers walk up to it and pet it, but it gets quite violent with the headbutts lmao. Also sometimes gets taken for a walk on a leash down to the beach and goes for a swim. It's really odd but cool. Their temperament is pretty awesome from what I've seen, if its been brought up like this one, because its fine around your children (Friend has a 2 year old brother, and the cat actually sleeps with him).

I have a Kurilian bobtail, it shares every one of these characteristics, and unlike Savannah (which just looks bad in my opinion, it's somehow disproportionate), it's also reasonably sized. And reasonably priced (as resonable as it can get with buying cats from breeders).

fuken fight me
But really, I just like em for the serval look, they're quite elegant imo, but anything below F1 looks meh. I'd say caracals look the best imo, or Canadian lynx, with them huge ass paws. And pretty sure you can buy caracals cross housecat called caracats somewhere, which is what I'd definitely do if Australian law permitted it. Too bad Australia is extremely strict about cat breeds.
I've been looking for a cat breed that likes going for walks. It'd be like the perfect mix of dog and cat characteristics imo, or can you do that with most cats, permitted you train them to be calm around crowds of strangers & people approaching to pet the cat?
