That method of linking hurts my soul. Besides the fact that it's obvious bullshit, do these people not realize that it's easy to copy the nazi's style without wearing the swastika?
i think its the armband creating the pants-shittingly terrifying combination of red and black that it's often included if someone's dressing up [sp]for non-actual nazi purposes at least[/sp]
It’s the colors and sharpness to the uniforms. Dark greys and blacks paired with angular collars and squared pockets. The outline is unique, noticeable, sleek. It makes one stand out yet still retain unity amongst others. The Nazis tried desperately to mimic the uniforms of the Prussians/Imperials, while throwing a mass-produced flare to the mix. Not to mention that the Nazis made very little distinctions between dress and field. Hell, SS formal is to do up the top button and have a tie, while not having your field gear on, just belt+bayonet. Formality and industriousness were the name of the game when it came to Nazi regalia. And then you have Hitler with his not-cloak and Goering looking like a marshmallow
People who are actually legit mad at this are as dumb as the people who got mad at Hatred and wanted it banned.
In which case I'll get it soon then. When I'm in a position to feel good about a $90NZD purchase.
People who are actually legit mad at this are as dumb as the people who got mad at Hatred and wanted it banned.
Hatred was an edgey school shooter simulator about killing innocent unarmed people This is a game about killing people who commit massive systematic genocide on a world wide scale I can actually see where people are coming from with Hatred, though I disagree with them they aren't wrong for bashing it.

So he's really taking after them pretty well.

A generation of kids being raised on 4chan was a mistake.
A generation of kids being raised on 4chan was a mistake.
4chan and south park
its honestly crazy what getting turned down by hot girls can do to you, and what it can lead to
4chan and south park
I wouldn't really blame South Park for that
"I hate nazis so much I'll create a scenario of them winning WW2 and sketch, model and paint modernized assets for their occupation and spend months on writing lore! Yeah, that'll piss the political right off for sure" And then the political right got pissed because their utopia was reflected in a video game.

What a time we live in. Will I be hunted down and executed for my avatar then?

[editline]30th October 2017[/editline] a USSR hat shows up for 1 second and everyone shits the bed and cries
Having played Wolfenstein II the only real bit I raised my eyebrow at was when BJ basically said "fuck white people" or something to that effect. Just felt out of place and more of a insert from current events.
Having played Wolfenstein II the only real bit I raised my eyebrow at was when BJ basically said "fuck white people" or something to that effect. Just felt out of place and more of a insert from current events.
I felt it could've been worded so much better, it really stuck out and not so much in a good way. I still find it hilarious how it's apparently contentious to say "Fuck Nazis" or "Kill Nazis"
A lot of people seem to have this kneejerk reaction where it's like "I don't mind killing nazis but why the hell did they have to lump us in with commies and black panthers", well pal, if the nazis did take over America, take a hard guess at what kind of groups would want to resist that and fight back.
Which becomes even dumber since B.J. pretty mich chews out the commie for being a commie.
Man, if the neonazi's are getting in a huff over the game's overall subject, wait until they learn about Venus :^)
Having played Wolfenstein II the only real bit I raised my eyebrow at was when BJ basically said "fuck white people" or something to that effect. Just felt out of place and more of a insert from current events.
What are you talking about? That's my favorite line in the game so far. He says it after meeting basically the Black Panthers and seemingly getting hit with the "All white people are Nazis here" rhetoric for the first time. He blasts it out awkwardly as if he didn't really know what it means but he wanted to sound cool and threatening like she was. It sounds more like BJ is trying to fit in and 'be hip' with the resistance and it's hilarious.
Having finished the game, I really did enjoy it but the biggest flaw with the game is the pacing. What I liked about TNO was there was a consistent amount of setup and payoff for every act. Each act felt it served a very monumental purpose in pushing the story forward. In TNC, a lot of stuff just sort of "happens" and it feels like from the moment Grace is introduced everybody just follows along because nobody else has a plan for what to do. [sp]She says she wants a nuke and zero people have a problem with that. That didn't really strike well with me because I have a feeling at the very least BJ should have been like "whoa what the fuck? really? a nuclear weapon? you mean the same thing that turned Manhattan into what I just walked through? You want to use that in a populated American city?" Nope, just gonna go do it because reasons, I guess. Then you go there, the nuke does not serve its purpose because all of the Nazi high command take off in god damn rockets, and you destroy the Jew gold pyramid in the process, not even gonna take a look in there I guess. Much of it just felt super, super rushed for no reason. I get that there was a sense of urgency because Frau was actively searching for the sub but that was never effectively demonstrated. She catches the sub once because of some Nazis hiding in a walled off section, after that it never happens again. It happened too early to be perceived as a looming threat, unlike in TNO where they find your hideout and purge it in the middle of the game.[/sp] [sp]Not much occurs to make you genuinely wonder if the characters are going to survive. TNO went into high gear when the Nazis attacked the base and it just went further up from there. It was very nicely executed pacing. In TNC it's just high gear from the beginning to end, which isn't bad...but not much happens to make you feel suspense for the characters and the events that occur. They tried to do this closer to the end when Anya and Wyatt/Fergus are helping to get Horton's people to the submersible with the occasional radio chatter of "what the fuck BJ, why the fuck are you taking so long, we have 12 death squads on our ass PLEASE HURRY", and at one point I was expecting to have to make a choice between saving Anya or helping Horton's people. Never happened, which is unfortunate, if it did I think it would have all around been a much better storyline overall.[/sp] [sp]In TNO, everything you do had some kind of very necessary purpose. Finding Catherine and the Kreisau Circle, finding Set, destroying the London Monitor, capturing a u-boat, finding the spikey ball, collapsing the bridge, going to the moon, all of it had a very specific purpose and much deserved payoff. In TNC, it's just doing things constantly with no payoff until the end when you finally put a hatchet in Engel's cranium on live television. It's not enough payoff to make the last 7 hours of the game worth it, in my opinion. It was satisfying but it's one huge payoff for a lot of smaller events that never got the conclusion they needed.[/sp] TL;DR, it's more of the same which is fine, it's really fun. But it goes too fast. Whoever wrote it put the pedal to the metal and that's how it is from the moment you start the game. It's a 10 hour stream of constant blue balling until the end when you finally get to cum, but it's not enough to make you go "that was incredible!"
I felt the pacing was still wonky in TNO so I guess they haven't fixed that
TBH some of the missions really felt like filler levels more than anything to me. [sp]The hidden section F being the most obvious. The purpose of this level is to tell you how Frau located the U-boat, but it really felt cheap. They could've used the fact that the U-boat was used to NUKE DEATSHEAD'S COMPOUND in TNO as a giveaway. You'd think that during the final attack in TNO, Strasse could've contacted Frau and tell her "hey, my compound was breached by a weapon shot from underwater and BJ is here, you might go and take a look, the U-boat you've been looking for may be here. Cheers."[/sp]

They also had previously used a nuke on Deathheads compound, and getting a shot at taking out the new Ubercommandt headquarters was a big shot, and preventing the Nazi's from further using the D'aat technology at the Roswell cave which was anti gravity stuff and other big deal breakthroughs. [/sp] Don't get me wrong, the pacing isn't the best but there's a lot to the characters that I liked a lot about this game.
