I wonder how loud this plane is, compared to the ol' Concorde - who was partly infamous for how earth-shattering loud it was.

I've been to a blue angels show, the sound of a low-flying jet passing over is one of the loudest things you'll ever hear, especially if they're breaking the sound barrier.

They weren't breaking the sound barrier at the show I went to, but it was still shaking the ground enough to set off car alarms.

I love how quick a B-1 can roll. It's a low level nuclear bomber that thinks it's a fighter plane.

Out of the 10 or so airshows I've went to a B-1 doing a low flying pass was the loudest noise I've heard. Thats including the pyrotechnic demonstrations.

I saw a B-52 do a low pass at an air show once but I don't know how that compares to a B-1 in loudness.

B1s are stupid cool aircraft. Amazing feats of engineering. I've never got to see one up close, but they're really incredible things.

A couple years back they were showing off the Raptor at a local air show.

It accidentally broke the sound barrier while buzzing the crowd :v:

My mom actually worked for Rockwell. She did wiring schematics on the B-1B and the AC-130.
