I honestly couldn't believe that he did it!
I like to think of Stephen King as one of the best storytellers of our time.
Stephen King wrote The Shining. Doug Walker wrote Kickassia.
You can see why this pissed me off so much.
you sound like a kid
BOO HOO SOMEBODY INSULTED MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR I HOPE THEY DIE
Does the book explain the floating fetish?

He's not even my favourite author. It's Walker's arrogance that is annoying.
And I was exaggerating. But of course you jumped on that.
So if Doug was exaggerating you would still jump on it?

What does this even mean? Exaggerating about what? What do you mean 'still'? I never claimed to jump on anything.

You complain about being called out on "I hope Doug Walker steps on a landmine."
and saying it was for comic effect when that is exactly what Doug is doing.

I'm not calling him out for making jokes for comic effect, I'm expressing distaste that Doug Walker of all people has the nerve to insult Stephen King.
The book explains LITERALLY EVERY PART of the story much better than the movie did.
Of course, this can be applied to pretty much every movie Stephen King made from one of his books.
the book is ten times better than the movie
no make that a hundred times better, the movie is a fucking disgrace

I'm expressing distaste that you of all people have the nerve to care what Doug Walker thinks and what HIS opinions are.

I'm expressing distaste that you of all people are expressing distaste at me expressing distaste at an internet reviewer.
That was hilarious.
I like Stephen King, I like both the movie and book versions of IT, and I also happen to like the Nostalgia Critic picking apart King's common tropes and IT's (film's) weaknesses (while drunk). I just wish more King fans could take it with the same lightheartedness I do.
There should be a term for this, similar to the "willing suspension of disbelief", only it applies to people suspending their fandom for a subject to sit back and laugh at the inconsistencies. "Willing suspension of fandom"? I say this because I'm afraid it might turn into another "Equilibrium" disaster (where Film Brain gave a bad review to Equilibrium, much to the rage of Equilibrium fans).

Mostly agree, except Film Bore is neither funny nor a good reviewer, and I was indifferent to Equilibrium myself.
