Let me guess, his favorite Halo is 4

Plus, he's fully aware of the DRM thing and he fully supports it.
It's going to be biblical on launch week when no-one can connect to authenticate because the servers are getting hammered.
Yet there's still people defending it.

I wonder what they'll say when they can't even use the console for days on end due to the combination of poor always online implementation, server crashes and hackers bringing the entire network down.
What- what...
[sub][sub]...what about Wii U? :([/sub][/sub]
It's okay, we got this.
"Xbox sucks!" "Quiet"
Instead of shouting xbox sucks, should have shouted "I'm getting a playstation!"
[editline]12th June 2013[/editline]
That would have been glorious, at the point right after the price announcement.
Why do they even do this? I don't know about economics so I am missing the reason, all I feel is being ripped off of a whole 75€ there.
All nations included in the EU has a 20%+ tax on stuff (IIRC)
Taking that into account, it doesn't seem too far fetched. Except if it's still that much in non-EU nations.

Imagine trying to play a launch game with always online DRM too.
imagine buying an xbox one
imagine buying an xbox one
My imagination isn't that far-fetched.

I can see it, but when I open the box all I see staring back at me is a PS4.
Lets say about £255 for the PS3 without VAT and vat added that would cost about £310 or €360 for the rest of Europe. It's still a big dickish though.

(The comments on the video suggest that IGN added cheering into what really is supposed to be silence then "booing")
Uninformed idiots like this guy will be the reason the One sells good anyway
Hardcore fanboys, casual gamers, uninformed idiots and just general people who don't know about specs or know what DRM is will just fuel the Xbox sales
Quite sad how they can just show up with a completely sub par console but get a tonne of fucking money anyway because they know flocks of people will just eat it right up anyway
There's also a damn large market to which the restrictions on the Xbox One won't affect at all, and they literally don't care about them. Their Xbox One experience would be no less than their Xbox 360 experience, and they're still going to buy it.
hahah shitty xbox amirite guys??
How's life under that rock?

"They took three steps forward and are waiting for the rest of the world to catch up."
The world isn't gonna want to catch up when the starting position seems to be the edge of a cliff.

They're in their own little world, and there's not a damn thing wrong with that.

Initially it will sell well. Probably sell out day one but once people start attempting to purchase used games/bring games over to their friends, the average Madden/Call of Duty "bro gamers" will hate it along with everyone else.
Word will spread. Fast.
Love the gasp everyone makes when he announces the price haha
Why do they even do this? I don't know about economics so I am missing the reason, all I feel is being ripped off of a whole 75€ there.
Because it's the EU. A lot of countries tax 25% of imported goods(and it's shipping). If sent to Norway it would cost $514, not counting shipping. That's 386€ before shipping.
On Microsoft's side, the sale is also taxed in Europe(unlike the usa which has next to no tax, and literally no VAT), so if they were to sell it for the same price as in the us, plus added tax, it'd cost €386.
The price is upped with 13 euro.
