Dude that driver totally got owned, not to mention he deserved it:
"bitch I'm cruising in a McLaren, fuck that stop sign. make room for your new king"
I can sense your bias against people with nicer things than you
him having a Mclaren has nothing to do with being shit at driving, nor does it mean he deserves to have his shit broken
People are assholes when they choose to spend all that money on automotive dick extensions like that one. Life changing/saving sum dropped on a moving 'you jelly?' sign.
So eat the rich tho.
There's nothing wrong with wanting a car that's fun to drive, and McLarens aren't cheap to build. Millions of dollars of R&D go into each new model, the cars are built by hand, and the components are high quality and low tolerance. All of these translate to a higher pricetag. People with more money will tend toward a more expensive machine - that's what money is for.
I see a remarkable engineering achievement and a really fun car. It's not his fault you have a jealousy problem. McLaren doesn't build these cars to stick it to poor folks, they build them because they have a passion for fine engineering and enjoyable performance vehicles.
If a rich person is actually breaking the law to get rich, then yeah fuck that guy. But you can't just assume someone's an asshole because they have nice things, or we'd still be hunching over smoldering logs, banging rocks together and grunting.
When I was working on an 18 wheeler delivering furniture out in west Texas in a 110 degree humid heat, you know who went to the store to get us a case of water before we showed up and gave each of us a hundred dollar tip? It was the self-made millionaire with the big house on a nice, well-maintained property. You know who just grunted at us and bitched at us for being slow in the same heat? It was the woman on food stamps who couldn't spell her own name when signing for the washing machine she ordered. So yeah, I don't buy into your mindset. It's edgy and simple and born from base jealousy. Put down the manifesto, comrade, and expose yourself to reality for once.

it's called saving up and not spending your money on shit! im doing the exact same thing to get my dream car and i'm one of the poorest of my friend circle..but im still fucking doing it.
Someone smashes my windscreen i'll take every penny off them to pay for repairs ...did i mention having friends in law/military has its benefits?
so edgy
Why are idiots turning this into a "You just hate rich people/He's rich and can pay for it" thing when the asshat CLEARLY ran a stop sign endangering a jaywalking skateboarder
Expecting about 3-5k for repair. At least its not one of their ultrasonic windshield.
an eye for an eye leaves the whole world shelling out 250k for windshields smh
Why are idiots turning this into a "You just hate rich people/He's rich and can pay for it" thing when the asshat CLEARLY ran a stop sign endangering a jaywalking skateboarder
Was it jaywalking though? There's a crosswalk there that the guy tried to drive straight through
Why are idiots turning this into a "You just hate rich people/He's rich and can pay for it" thing when the asshat CLEARLY ran a stop sign endangering a jaywalking skateboarder
Skateboarder was in a crosswalk, definitely wasn't jaywalking
McClaren driver deserved it, he almost hurt the kid physically by running him over. A broken windshield can be repaired, unfortunately bodies can't always be healed.
While I agree on your things can be replaced stance, saying you are completely one sided with either party is just as dumb as the two in the video. The driver was a dick and the kid was a piece of shit. It's foolish to think physical violence is a justified response to something almost happening.
And to play devil's advocate for a second, for all we know him missing the stop could have been a result of being distracted, a mistake. Granted, a mistake that could have lead to something awful but not intentional.
Either way, the driver could work on being a better driver and the kid could use a good smack in the back of the head.
anyone who can afford the car in the first place probably doesn't care too much about this tbh
I know this is two pages back but, I have to ask, what exactly is your point? Like, let's just say for a second they didn't care (although anybody would because replacement parts on super cars are overpriced) what exactly was the point you were trying to convey? That we shouldn't care? That he deserved it?
you can hear the driver yelling suck my dick after the honk
thought it was the kid yelling it
This is where it all started:
anyone who can afford the car in the first place probably doesn't care too much about this tbh
tl:dr Both parties are wrong and even if the car was made of gold and the guy literally shat money, breaking the windshield is not justified. Most of the people who defend the actions of the kid do it because they're biased against exotic cars and/or the people who drive them.
tl:dr end
Try to picture the same scenario with a normal car instead, do you guys think the video would have the same impact? Why is it not called "Kid smashes car windshield with skate board", it's clearly that the uploader is sensationalizing from it being a exotic car and of course that's gonna attract people with the mentality of the guy I quoted above.
People hating rich people isn't something new and it does happen, fuck that mentality of "all rich people are dickheads/ People with nice stuff shouldn't mind having their stuff broken because they can always afford it" some people have. You don't need to be rich to have nice stuff, of course if you're barely living within your means and struggling then you should probably consider getting a better job or try expanding yourself in your field before even thinking about buying expensive stuff.
as if the cops would ever care about some upper class driver running a stop sign
they probably would care, easy ticket from a rich person
kid's a moron
driver's reckless
idk if late but better camera angle

The videos may be staged.
The original uploader of the video is possibly the manager / owner of a supercar rental place 10 miles away from the place of filming named Mile High Drives, considering the youtube name is Paul Gonzo and the owner of the store is Carlo Paul Gonzalez, and the store rents out McLaren MP4-12C's (exact same as the car in the video)
Theres also a 3rd angle of the video from possibly a security camera, that shows the skateboarder waiting nearly a minute to cross the street, specifically when the McLaren is coming

Nothing is real anymore

Wow what a little brat, skateboarding right in front of him like that and lashing out in envy.
Something tells me he wouldn't have smashed the window of a normal car.
Either way a crossing isn't intended for something moving out as fast as he was skating.

Seems pretty damning to me.
oh
We've been had! The arguments were for nothing!
Well I mean they already were but hey.
I'd say it's reasonable to assume that someone who drives a 230k flaming orage supercar is probably narcissistic.
not really maybe he just likes cars

i can't even begin to understand why go to the trouble and effort to stage this though. like what would you gain from staging it? it doesn't really put the car in a good light or does anything to advertise his place, and the only major benefit would've been this theory where he just needed to replace the window and is going to use adsense revenue to get it but like, why would you put that much effort into what is basically a fluke that could've only worked in these specific conditions of becoming viral when he runs a real business that probably makes tons of money renting out expensive cars to dumb people.
this makes no sense other than to just cause a ruckus for the low low price of 5K, but maybe the dude was just crazy enough to do that.

Holy crap, please more news reporters like this guy.
"Don't film vertically" should be common sense at this point.
"Don't film vertically" should be common sense at this point.
It already is. The issue is that common sense is a complete misnomer. It's not common at all.
It already is. The issue is that common sense is a complete misnomer. It's not common at all.
So.... it's not common sense.
So.... it's not common sense.
You completely missed the point. Don't film vertically is common sense by now. The issue is that common sense is a misnomer because it's not common at all. The vast majority of people are completely lacking in common sense. That's why you see idiotic articles about how some moron hit a cop car because he was too busy playing Pokemon Go while driving or walked off a cliff playing Pokemon Go despite knowing there was a cliff coming up.
