It's not like the naked man was in any kind of immediate danger. I don't see what's wrong with the guy taking as much time as he needs to assess the situation.

I don't even think he was expecting anything in particular, but it seems natural to me to be a bit cautious when you meet a naked weirdo in the woods.

Bit of an accusation to call him a weirdo. He got beat and mugged. If you were beaten and mugged, would you want people to have the initial response to run from you, or come help you?
Maybe it's a difference of region, but one of the first things out of my mouth would have been "Are you ok?", and not "I mean, I'm not going to shoot you, but..."

And then you get burned by someone you're trying to help and THEN you become the "untrusting asshole"
Oh I love all these comments that know so much better than a guy with however many years of him doing this for a living/hobby. If anything he was too trusting, the guy didn't know his address probably being so dehydrated and just totally bewildered, yet the person filming still gave him the benefit of the doubt.
