What am I reading? The Æsir are but one pantheon in a world of infinite divinity. All gods and their religions are legitimate, the idea of "one true God/Goddess" is a purely Abrahamic/Zoroastrian concept. Though the christians may not believe in the lords of Ásgarðr it is not our way to disregard the gods of other religions. Historically, our people have worshipped not only the Æsir but also Mercury as well as many other foreign divinities, from the Celts to the Slavs. Also technically we have to hang people as sacrifice to the Æsir so our religion isn't totally free of stupid shit.
The only Jehovah's witness I know is my aunt and she is not very forceful about it, thankfully. She even creates some pretty nice art.

Yes but I dont think that thats a good reason to put them at odds with what they want to be. If later in life they decide that they like men, it could cause some serious stress if their parents have always tried to convince them not to be gay.

1. People don't "choose" to be gay unless they're already bi. Dissuading someone from "being gay" and having them take it to heart doesn't lead them to being straight, it leads them to having repressed desires and more stress in their day to day lives in the best case scenario.
2. Have 2 kids if you care that fucking much about bloodlines. Hell, have 3. If you're worried they'll be gay too then that's because your genes are making them gay... that or your garbage parenting.
3. Your gay kids can adopt and have a baby. Hooray, less orphans!
