My mum, who's gay, had a run-in with these guys. She lived with her partner in the countryside and a pair of them started visiting. They let them in because the partner is very religious and wanted to hear their point of view, so they got the talk about homosexuality being an inner demon or whatever. They stopped it when they visited the partner when she was alone, and told her to come to one of the meetings, and to keep it secret from my mum. Trying to drive a stake between them.

They contradict the bible when they say that marriage is between one man and one woman. 2 out of 3 Patriarchs had multiple wives (Abraham's marrying Hagar and Sarai while Yakkov married Leah, Rachel, Bilha, and Zilpha). The bible allows bigamy and actually sets the amount of women that a king can marry at about 17, a limit that King David had trouble with when he was elderly.

Well I mean, they are technically right in the sense that that [i]is[/i] what the bible says.
I mean I'm not religious and didn't grow up in a religious household and I can see that at a time religion did have it's place in society at a point (like before universities and other intellectual shit the church was really that place) but nowadays it just seems kinda like "yeah we're still here guys!" it's not like they really do much anymore other than some charity shit.
That being said I think everyone has a right to believe in what they want to believe etc. I just don't really see the point in much of it. And various Religions and their sects disliking the Homosexual community is kind of expected, though on a side-note it works really weirdly like I know some Jewish movements are super Anti-Gay while several others are okay with it. So it's so mixed up and all over the place that even in some Religious there are separate movements that disagree with the others.
