Or a better question is: Why the fuck is the Vinesauce team still using Twitch?
I know there aren't many other quality options, but there's other alternatives out there that are slowly getting better, and it would be fine if it was hosted onto their main site.
Maybe I'm just too salty. Twitch has just done nothing but make shitty decisions the past few years IMO.

They'd lose too much audience. The audience isn't all us tech savvy dedicated followers.

They've effectively cornered the market. Twitch will die when Youtube dies.
There should be some sort of internet-monopoly laws.
Because an internet without several different services to choose from for specific things, which is pretty much the internet right now, is fucking awful.
I mean, Twitch may as well have a monopoly on streaming, and YouTube may as well have a monopoly on video hosting.
They could move for the sake of moving and try to form a new audience against the tide but it would do a lot of harm to their annual charity stream.

nothing stops you from hosting your stream on Hitbox but the mere popularity of Twitch
being popular doesn't make you a monopoly; google isn't a monopoly in the search engine market just because it is most popular
youtube isn't a monopoly either unless you mean monetized videos (due to popularity); you still have other sites like vimeo that are popular for artistic works

monopoly means making it literally impossible for anyone else to enter the market by squashing opportunities for competition directly, such as buying out any new startups to keep your own price high or manipulating the law to own all means of production
it isn't the same for websites where anyone can make one and the only reason to stop is not being the popular site yet

As I recall, he was trying to get out of a game crash or something with the task manager, but in hitting the keys he somehow activated an Ease of Access option that causes it to speak every keypress.

Iirc his PC has an amd phenon CPU so not really new but even the athlon could run any emulator just fine. He's just stuck with his older times.
