That "LUL" is a BetterTwitchTV emote, along with common ones in the Vinesauce chat like SourPls, DuckerZ, and bUrself. Vinny uses the plugin, so a lot of his viewers do as well.
Otherwise BTTV itself has a chat filter built in too if you really don't wanna see those emotes/replies.

I don't see why a streamer would expect people to use like a third party thing for that though.

I just need like a usersript that removes anything within some set parameters. Could potentially make the chat usable.
Like, delete any post containing only single emoticons, "LUL", "SourPls", and other spam.
It's like 60-70% of the chat and really makes it unusably fast.

Nearly every streamer on twitch uses BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ so I don't know why you'd think that.

Then they'd use another emote or simply LOL\ 4Head \ EleGiggle or a sub emote.
It's twitch, i don't know what is your standard but it feels pretty normal.
Backseating is the only thing that bothers me mostly but it can't be helped on that
I actually have grown so accustomed to Vinny's chat, I think I even like it in some way. Now, when it comes to the chat of something big like AGDQ, then that I just cannot stand.
By the way, not so long ago BetterTTV just stopped working for me and after talking about it with some friend he told me it's better to use FrankerFaceZ + the add-on pack plugin for this one.

Vinny and Joel are the only streamers I watch, I'm not very into Twitch stuff.
Trawl through the top twitch [url=https://www.twitch.tv/vinesauce/clips]clips[/url] for each active streamer and embed them as a highlight reel.
Oh man. Bit late on the stream but now I watched it and.. I'm glad he liked it.
