I've been watching their stream VoDs on backlog recently, so much stuff to behold.
Also it was thanks to Vinny that I've now gotten hooked on Cookie Clicker. I say hooked, but it's more like having it run in another tab while I watch videos, sometimes clicking in to check if there's a Golden Cookie to click into a Frenzy.

The problem is that its a shitty and broken game. A shitty game that is functional can be good for multiple streams, and a broken but enjoyable game can be good for multiple streams, but a shitty broken game is only good for one stream.
Interesting fact: Telltale Games doesn't like their games on youtube or streamed...
They haven't taken down anything though...

Well I guess that makes sense, they're story driven games, the main content is dialog and stuff, I wouldn't fault them for being angry about that.

That said, when enough divergence and choice is offered by the game, a single playthrough that follows one path wouldn't represent the entire experience, just the experience that the LPer had.
For example, a long time back Cry and Dodger played this dating sim called "Dandelion", and they went down the Jiwoo path first, one of six potential paths in that sim. Going down one path in an LP could encourage the audience to end up buying the game and doing things a little differently. Another example is that when I watched Jesse Cox do his Wolfenstein: The New Order LP, he went down the Wyatt path, which lead to a certain string of events, so when I started playing I decided to do Fergus' path and see what happened differently in that timeline.
I've never watched any of these modern TellTale narrative experiences, since I much preferred the stuff they did back in the Sam & Max days, so I don't know if the experience is pretty much the same regardless of your choices or if the story turns out differently if you go down certain paths. But if the latter is the case, I can't see the problem tbh.

I'm so glad he's playing this, especially when MGSV is around the corner. He mentioned he's probably not playing Peace Walker, but I hope he does considering that one's the prequel to V (thus the most similar to what V will be). If anything, he can watch the game through KefkaProductions videos.
Also, an explanation for that opening- [sp]Clicking "MGS2 is my favorite" gives you the Raiden mask beginning, while clicking MGS1 gives you more stamina. Clicking MGS3 will give you the post-game masks at the start, which is more useful, but I'd argue it's better he chose the 2nd one.[/sp]
