iirc towel probably got so many accounts from a data breach in xSplit (haveibeenpwned.com currently shows that there are 2 million xsplit accounts that's credentials are online), if joel and lyle haven't changed there password since 2013 thats a probability. as for YMS I have no idea.

It's a weekend and Google support staff aren't available, only their automated robot system that's a waste of time, so it won't be until Monday before they'll do anything to fix it. At least that's how it is as I understand it.
I don't think pulling one of support staff members during a weekend to perform a 10 minute task would be too difficult.

If this was pewdiepie the issue would have been resolved within a day because pewdiepie actually prints money for google, while Joel is relatively minor and mostly works through twitch anyway.

Every video on Joel's channel got removed, except for the goodbye and the viva la towel video.
Google will probably be able to recover them, I wouldn't be surprised if theyre cached somewhere in their servers.
edit: plus people have backed up all of his videos.
