You mean sites to webcam while you masturbate on? Yeah, he was on one, he said so in the video.
A situation like this would simply terrify me; I completely sympathize with him and this makes me realize how important it is to maintain public conduct, especially if you work in a government or military field.
the air force are fucking assholes
I dunno guys, after all the shit that's going on with the TSA and the strict guidelines pilots have now, how the fuck did this guy decide masturbating on a webcam would be worth it in the end?
That's really silly. The more you don't want something to get out, the more people will want to expose it. If you don't give a shit then no one else will. It's great to be unblackmailable.
I'm pretty sure you wanted to say "it's great to be delusional".
Because as much as we'd want it to be like that, other people around us are completely independent from our own self-image. "Respect yourself and people will respect you" - doesn't work in real social life when there're people convinced that you have made something terrible. No matter what kind of attitude you maintain, they're still going to despise you.
really sucks for that guy. Hope het get's well.
On topic, what happen to that LP in a wheelchair guy who was collecting money?

He got wheeled off twitch
Dude jerked off for people for cash. Kinda pathetic, then again, he was getting paid to jack off :v:
[editline]Edit:[/editline]
lol yeah I'm totally dumb for saying that jacking off for anonymous people on the internet is pathetic
Never have ever heard of a wank that backfired so much.
How the fuck is the air force this strict? He jerked off. He didn't release classified information on stealth fighters or something. I'd understand a suspension, but to completely crush his future? Anyone with a clear mind can figure out that he did this out of complete desperation in his situation, and he would probably never ever do it again.
To be quite honest when I read the title, I laughed a little, expecting that "life ruined" was an exaggeration, and the consequences were something like "his parents found out"
But dear god these turn of events are just so cruel. To think my mistakes I made in the past 5 or so years were really bad. I felt really sad from watching the video.
Looked at the comments and there's still loads of people saying they have no sympathy for him, I looked further into it and saw that people were pretty much getting off on the whole ruining his Youtube career thing back when the drama happened. Fucking assholes, even if it could have been prevented on his part by not doing it in the first place.

Literally no other branches like the air force, they're all kinda pricks.
Literally no other branches like the air force, they're all kinda pricks.
I'm guessing it might be because they people they are hiring will use very expensive equipment, so they're only looking for the best of the best.
But this is just too harsh.
This is some harsh fucking shit. People are pricks and the Air Force needs to acknowledge that everyone masturbates and people who make money off of it are brave and honestly intelligent for doing it.
I think, as do most people I'm sure, that if he wants to get money by using a porn cam site then who the hell cares. The Military, however, will have none of it. They don't like shit like this at all, and given that he was an officer makes it 10 times worse for him. As a civilian? No one would care
It's considered Conduct Unbecoming of (Insert Status here) Be it a Marine, Soldier, Officer, whatever. The Military's pretty strict about its image
the air force are fucking assholes
nah they're pretty cool
The US is a pretty fucked up place when your personal private life can interfere with your job in such a way.

Cockfest 2013?
The world keeps spinning around I guess.
To be honest, I'm not surprised by the Air Force's reaction. I think the worst part about this is how bunch of people ruined a person's life just because he didn't want to admit he did a very humiliating thing, that could affect (and it did) his life. He mentions he did some confession video/podcast that upset people because he admited something else. Not sure what it was about but I have a feeling he wasn't an asshole about it that would warrant the shitstorm that happened next.
He did a stupid thing and he realizes that, if there was a lesson to learn here he learned many more.
I think I remember a thread few months/year back that was about him. I didn't read much about it back then but it's a shame it turned out like this.
Jesus this thread is full of stupid.
Who in their right mind who's in a debt he can't pay works his ass off on youtube all day for nickels instead of getting a real job, which would get him much more money in less hours per day? What fairy world do you live in? I'm sorry but in real life your passions might not earn you enough money. As nice as it would be to do what you love most, play games, and get all the money you need from it, it might not work. And he knew that.
Again who in their right mind would go "okay so youtube isn't getting me enough money like a normal job would, what should I do? Get a job maybe? Naaah, I'm gonna masturbate on the internet for money." What, is everyone including the guy new on the internet? Putting your nudes in there is a bad enough idea, uploading a vid where you masturbate, for money? Yeah that's not gonna come back to you to bite you in the ass. And he was an airforce officer, that's double stupid. He didn't think it would ruin his career if they found out? Triple stupid because he's semi-popular on youtube. Of course it's gonna be more likely someone's gonna find out.
If he wasn't an airforce officer, the consequences wouldn't be that dire even if people would find out. And if he wasn't a big youtuber, the chances of people finding out would be much smaller.
I feel bad for the guy that his wakeup from fairy land ruined his career but every decision this guy made was stupid. And his lack of foresight was that of a child. None of this shit would have happened if he would just get a job, it was okay to do what you love and try to get money off youtube but when he realized it's not getting him enough, he should have gotten a job.
And no, I'm not supporting what some idiots from the internet did, but he should have seen it coming. And no, I'm not supporting airforce's standards, but he knew them.
You can't just say "I think this and that is wrong and it shouldn't exist and then behave like it doesn't exist". Welcome to reality.
the consequences weren't really his fault though
if nobody had found out who he was and spread it around then he'd probably have gotten the money he wanted despite it being a pretty weird source of income, and nobody else would have been any the wiser
he admits in the video that it was a dumb way to get more money, but i don't think he's right to say that he had to face the consequences of 'his actions' because what happened after his input was over was what fucked everything up; it's no fault of his that by total chance a thing occurred that screwed him
This mindset is really idiotic. You can't just go "car thieves shouldn't exist" and stop locking your car and not expect that your car is gonna get stolen. People who'll send your nudes to your boss just for "lulz" exist. Don't upload your nudes, someone's gonna find out.
The consequences are his fault because they were conceivable and he did it anyway. If I know that I'll get beaten up if I walk up to a bunch of football team "fans" (I don't know if you got these kind of people where you live) and I insult their team and I do it anyway, it's my fault. Ignorance is not an excuse.
hey guys cyberbullying isnt real lol!
How's that cyberbullying if they send the stuff to his work? The cyberbullying he was ignoring pretty well...
I hope you realize people do stupid shit when they're desperate
I hope you realize people do stupid shit when they're desperate
And that makes the decision less stupid?
And that makes the decision less stupid?
I think his decision was stupid but I think it's also important to understand why he did it, too.
"went straight to my office and produced content"
so you played video games
Dude, you're probably in your parents house playing video games. I really doubt you've achieved anything this guy did.
I think his decision was stupid but I think it's also important to understand why he did it, too.
I can understand he was in desperation and his judgment might have been clouded, but it doesn't change in the slightest how stupid his decisions were. The only thing it changes is making it more understandable and makes me feel more sorry for the guy, but it's still no excuse.
All he had to do is take a step back and think for a minute. He did stupid shit because it was easy and he did it without thought. Now he has to face consequences incommensurate to what he actually did, but they were conceivable. He could have avoided it all.

Oh it's the adhominem argument. So the decision not to get an actual job when in massive debt was right because some random guy on the internet is in his parents house playing video games and might have not achieved anything this guy did, even though you have no way of knowing that. Makes perfect sense.

As stupid as his decisions were, everyone makes stupid decisions. That's fine. He did something stupid, that's for sure. But when a group of people decide that some of these humiliating decisions need to be brought to light and they're not being affected at all by this, there's something wrong there. I don't go around telling everyone my friend pissed his pants that one time, or some other humiliating bullshit.
Sure, the guy did a really, really stupid thing, but that doesn't warrant any of what followed after. I don't understand why the people had to make a big deal out of it when it didn't affect anyone at all. They ended up really affecting the guy's life, just because they wanted him to admit something embarassing which, really, is a really dickish thing to do. Who tries to force someone to admit to doing something embarassing when it affected no one, and when that doesn't happen, begins making a big deal out of it spreading it everywhere because he didn't confess. That's just bullshit.
