As perfect as the recording can be, in most cases it'll still have minor pitch errors. Take any modern vocal track, chances are you won't find any pitch errors at all, which is quite impossible for the vanilla recording. Modern recording studios [i]always[/i] use some form of pitch correction regardless of the vocal quality, even if so just to fit in with the rest.
