I used tek syndicate's way of applying thermal paste and their way to build a whole PC. Guess what? The computer works like a dream and I barely needed my parts manuals.

all this does is enforce console gamers that PC gaming is expensive and a massive waste of money. Seriously, my old £300 machine could run crysis 2 at a constant 60 fps at decent settings, you don't need to spend over a bloody grand
What a lame bunch of purchases. I spent around the same a few months ago for my PC. Got a SSD (+1TB storage drive), an IPS monitor, better case fans, a H80 for my CPU (closed loop water cooling), a completely modular PSU, and Windows 8. Plus everything else they had.
They spent so much money on their copy of Windows. And the extra RAM they won't ever need. Also, I hope that paste they used wasn't conductive.

I'm 100% sure there's no way you can get a good pc with 600$ or whatever the launch price was for the ps3.
And nowadays AAA games ask for really good pc's.
Best part when you live somewhere else other than US were the hardware is more expensive.

Obviously, I just built this thing with that much money so that I don't have to upgrade for a long long time.
I want to put together, "you guys are stupid" response video with better parts for the cost.
I think he should have done:
3570k, 8GBRam, dual 670's, SSD, 1TB HD, etc. Something like that.
Edit: I MIGHT be able to do dual 670's, I'm looking.
I remember meeting Destin (Now IGN editor) at local events like 2 years ago, talking about building PC's. Offered some advice, and argued Console vs PC, etc...
