Neither?

It's easier to demonstrate it with smoke, you can see here the smoke reflecting his high beams back at him.

I dislike everyone in the OP video, especially the old hag who can't even operate a SIMPLE FUCKING SWITCH THAT CARS HAVE HAD FOREVER. And it's ALWAYS been in the same place on EVERY. SINGLE. CAR.

On my car it is a dial near the door under the air vent

When you can't see 15 feet in front of you it's time to either pull over or go 10-15mph, even just 5 or 10 under isn't going to cut it in conditions like that.

you should always familiarize your surroundings before hopping in any vehicle.

Also old Soviet trucks had a switch in the form of a button in the floor you had to press with your leg. So yeah, not always in the same place.

This is common for older cars, not just soviet surplus. My 1980 Camaro had one.
Driving through thick fog is no joke, had to do it at like 3AM and I was on absolute edge going at least 10 miles under the speed limit and was still having trouble seeing right in front of me with the high beams on, I have no idea how people have such a lead foot when conditions are as bad as this.
Probably because you're fucking blinding yourself with your high beams. Did you pay attention in driving school?

Also fuckin lol at the lady waving her hands about like she's so surprised a car could have come up in the fog :downs:
We need a superdowns emote
This is common for older cars, not just soviet surplus. My 1980 Camaro had one.
Didn't know that. I suspected that soviet stuff wasn't unique in that sense, just didn't know precisely what other cars had this composition.
However, I bet that you could actually turn on the lights when you press the button. Soviet shit... you had to literally stand up from your seat and smash the damn thing with all your weight, else it won't budge. You do that three times and it requires repair.
It's not uncommon where I live to have people put their hazard lights on during thick fog or blizzard/whiteout conditions to indicate they are going really fucking slow. Once drove through a whiteout where there was a conga line of cars with their hazards on all going like 30km/h on a 110km/h highway. There wasn't a single incident the entire time.
Never understood that. Not like I don't believe that, I just can't imagine it: I never had any issues just feeling how fast I'm going no matter the conditions. Blizzards, heavy rains, thick fog...
There is a phenomena of speed hypnosis: you get false perception of appearing to be going slow when you have been going really fast for a long amount of time (on a highway, for example). Back when I was learning I fell for this trap fast, later on I learned to remedy that by looking a bit sideways.
pull entirely out of the lane to the side and stay in the car til the fog rolls out. why is running across the highway even an option?
I have never been in similar situation, do you think it would be viable to get the fuck off the road entirely (where the lanes end and the sidewalk begins) and back off so you don't stay near the pileup? My idea is that someone will less likely be contacting with you since they are staying on the road lanes and staying near the pile up will just endanger you even more.

30 feels fine until you've been going NSL for a while and then it feels like you could run faster.

Kind of a bad image, couldn't find a good one on Google, but these are my car's light buttons.
The car I drive has fog lights but they are located at the rear of the car.
They are basically the high-beam version of the LED brake lights.
No matter where the light switch is in your car you should know how to use it before you drive it.

Rules and authorities actually advice against this, because it indicates that you've stopped, and causes confusion with turning signals.
Jesus fucking Christ, what the hell happened in Slovenia? Is dense fog so rare up there or what?

I've never seen it cause confusion.

Maybe in Finland, but hazards are used a lot in many other countries. In Germany you see them used all the time on the autobahn when there's congestion and you need to slow down quickly.
I like how they don't know about the reality of airbag deployment and assume the car is on fire. Airbags are explosives pointed at your face, though movies and shows misrepresent this most of the time.
This is one of the may reasons why I think they should make old people pass tests to see if they should drive or not. This one should definitely NOT drive anymore if she can't fucking figure out how to pull over
In Poland we drive with our headlights on all year, no matter the weather, day or night.
And on the highway we use hazards to tell cars behind us that there's obstruction ahead and slow down.
I always have my headlights on regardless unless it's blue sky sunny, I get pretty pissed off when it's heavily raining and dickheads don't have their headlights on, especially if they're in a white vehicle, your car is pretty much camouflaged
One night while I was on delivery, a powerful storm cel came out of the blue and it was so intense that the windscreen wipers could not keep up with the rain, it was to the point that i could not see any road markings or guardrails, i pulled over until it moved on
You're an absolute idiot if you think you're invincible when shit like that happens
