They raised $1,209,970.73 this year for Extra Life.
Also they keep putting the focus on Adam, a character who's own plan will cause itself to fail, and also the fact that out of all of the main 3, 3 are hard counters to him.
Like I don't know what the fuck his plan is, he'd lose against anyone but Yang. Hell, he'd lose against Ren because Ren's ability makes him impossible to read, and everyone around him, rendering his one ability, counter, useless.

I am so glad and happy for Jack for beating $1mil. I was super sad when the counter was broken after the first 2 or so hours and was showing double, or even triple what they had actually achieved.
I stopped watching the stream once AH started to leave, hoped back in 2 hours from the end and they were at $600K+ and was totally gutted.
Then they fucking pulled it out the bag and hit OVER a million.
Is their site player really, really bad? It's not loading half the time
The site is still really shit and has been for years.
Griffin has tweeted and made a facebook post stating that her and Geoff are officially splitting up :(
Here is the facebook post (via reddit)
Hello friends, Geoff and I wanted to let you know directly that we are in the process of an amicable divorce. It's not easy and we didn't come to this decision lightly. We feel confident that we both tried very hard to make it work, but have come to the conclusion that our lives are taking us in different directions. We want to move forward pursuing our diverging goals and supporting each other in the best way possible. We are still friends and will be working together to raise our child for the rest of our lives. As such, we will endeavor to treat each other with respect and kindness. We see this as a transition, not an end. We'd like to thank you for your friendship and support in our lives up until now and don't anticipate any of those dynamics changing just because our relationship to each other has. We plan to adjust as gracefully as possible through the changes in our family and will most likely still interact professionally and socially. Finally, we'd like to thank each other for the best 13 years of our lives so far and for our amazing daughter, Millie. In the spirit of love and peace, Griffon and Geoff
Fuck, that explains why he hasnt been talking about her much then, such a shame. I thought maybe his sabbatical / sobriety was going to do him some good, I hope this doesn't push him back to drink or to a darker place.
I honestly got really confused when I saw them together because I swear 4-5 years ago they announced a divorce.

You might be confusing it with her leaving RT.

He also chatted a lot of shit about his Ex-Wife, so could be that divorce.

This was just uploaded:

He seems quite happy anyway.

No I'm pretty sure back when the podcast was at a wooden table and had a different name, Geoff and Griffon were on it and talking about how its not working out and they were getting a divorce.
Barbara is going to be at Phoenix Comicon in 2018. Wonder what this means for the rest of RT?
Oh my fucking god I genuinely think the writers of RWBY are braindead. I'm catching up on episode 5 and there's this scene where Blake is trying to spread awareness of a threat to their people, and well, the rest of the world by extension, and they're not even listening to her.
Right. So the daughter of the most important faunus in the entire world is just casually being ignored like she's some random person on the street. Like, legit it feels like they wrote the scene and didn't even think of the characters involved.
I know I know "Lol RWBY's writing" but like it genuinely feels like Blake's sections are written as if she's not where they actually have her physically be. You introduce this whole racism subplot but apparently Faunus give as little of a shit about their own affairs as the rest of the world does.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Game Attack go independent? If so, why are they still listed under the main heading on the RT site? Did they mean like independent from Screw Attack? I could understand if that was the case, but the vibe I got from the whole thing when they announced it was that they were no longer being affiliated with RT, i.e. they bought the rights to their channel.
I think just independent from Screw Attack since all their new videos are still being uploaded to the website.
I miss the good old days when RT was just a bunch of good friends and a handful content creators.

I got into them thanks to Fails Of The Weak back in 2009, when there were only Geoff and Jack in AH
oh how the time went

It really hasn't changed. If you watch only base RT content you hardly see these other groups. They have more crossover with Achievement Hunter but even there it's not very often.

I watched a bit of RvB when it originally came out with my brother, but never really equated it with RT as a company until I started watching the early minecraft LPs, then worked my way backwards from there.

I ended up looking up the original post - they went independent from Rooster Teeth as a company, but still fall under the Let's Play family, I guess. So they're allowed to be on the site still, but they aren't paid by RT as a company. I think this gives them a little bit more leeway in their financial decisions - i.e. they recently made a GA patreon, but they didn't seem to make it halfway to their goal. Not surprising, given that I'm pretty sure their main demographic is young kids (younger than AH, which is already younger than Funhaus), who don't really have access to payment systems.
Game attack being a separate company continues to be the weirdest thing ever, especially since they seem to not have the funds to keep themselves afloat and are constantly doing donation streams for themselves.
Did Craig sell Screwattack? Like they don’t even film in the same location

You'd be wrong.

Unless by "base content" you mean RvB, you'd be wrong. The RT podcast is one of their longest running shows, and you can see that it's very clearly changed since they were aquired by fullscreen.
Not changed for the better either. The RT podcast used to be a couple of old nerds talking about old nerd shit and in the news topics. Now its a bunch of rich millennials talking about rich millennial problems.
"My several thousand dollar flamethrower was stolen out of my shed behind my house, which is across the street from the other house I rent for my girlfriend to live in. I'm not going to report the theft to the police because I don't need it anymore and can easily afford another". Topics like that aren't compelling or relatable. Their old content was far far better.
Am I the only one sicks of Burnie Vlogs, it's basically just a rich guy flaunting about all the awesome things he can do and get
