Their Sky Factory series in minecraft has been really entertaining, I love that Geoff loves breeding chickens, they all have their own thing to do and they enjoy doing it. apparently it’s almost over. [editline]31st December 2017[/editline] They plan on keep doing PC mods though
1 out of the 57 shows they produce is still entertaining. That says quite a bit about the state of the group, and the parent company too really. The only RT faction out of the whole corporation thats still producing good content is Funhaus. They're a bunch of California shitlords but they're funny as hell and they have actual discussions on topics they know quite a bit about on their podcast. They're a far cry from the content their owners produce.

The only RT stuff I watch now is Sky Factory, the GTA heists and Very occasionally an Off Topic. The last one I watched was Off Topic: Ep. 89 - Pleb, Plank, and Plum
Way more then 57. Evidenced by the fact they keep making money.
Nobody's denying they're making money, but profitability is not synonymous with quality or entertainment. Remember that Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory are 2 immensely profitable shows.
Way more then 57. Evidenced by the fact they keep making money.
Achievement Hunter, while becoming more like Jackass, still produces some funny shows Gmod Murder & Prop Hunt deliver some very entertaining moments
Is it weird that I feel Burnie should just step down and leave RT for other ventures because honestly what is his role at RT besides oing voices in RWBY and RvB
His role is just earning money and going to meetings at this point. [editline]1st January 2018[/editline] Also there is way too fucking many people at RT now, like holy shit it feels like they could lay off 50% of staff and nobody would notice - some people are there for the sake of being there. And the sponsorship ads, holy fuck they really do take it to a new level don't they? They actually produce so much content it's impossible for me to even watch. and the rich millenials complaining about rich people problems struck true.
The ad reads don't bother me too much because I just zone out and ignore them. The product often doesn't apply to my country or doesn't interest me. And I just think "Oh, AH is just reading from a script again and trying to sell me shit" I can't take an ad serious when you're just saying what the company tells you to. "I love it!" - Has never actually used it
Funhaus tries to make their ad reads entertaining.
Huh I thought he said he was done [editline]2nd January 2018[/editline]
Who even the fuck is Ellie
Who even the fuck is Ellie
His PA. She's pretty funny, been on OTS a couple times and a handful of Burnie's Vlogs have focused on her, some with like no Burnie except beginning and end (might as well have labelled them Ellie's Vlog) [editline]2nd January 2018[/editline] Burnie tasked her last year to develop survival skills for use in the apocalypse. They did videos on wilderness survival (barries and such), building a shelter, making swords, a couple lessons of Krav Maga, I think there was a video on archery?
I think he purposely put in all the stuff people didn't like about the VLOGs in this video lmao.
So wait, what was this series? Just Burnie vlogging?
So after getting slightly interested on rwby during the twitch marathon, I watched the entire thing of S5 during the last few months with the boys on /rwbyg/ (because why not). I don't know how they did it but they made the show SO BORING. [sp]Like not even in a interesting way of "semi-status quo" style boring, just a "we need to camp around the living room kind of boring. A "we have the fights offscreen and go right into talking next episode" kind of boring. A boring so boring I feel like I skipped a lot of the dialogue and didn't feel like I missed a thing. The main group that entered Mistral in the last season (with the exception of Qrow) NEVER left their safehouse until the finale. The only reason Weiss and Yang get back is with teleporting, and even then THE ENTIRE GROUP STILL STAYS IN THE FUCKING HOUSE. Even the finale, the time you are supposed to show the big guns of production/animation and hype up the next season, (while interesting and had a few good moments (Leo's death being one of them)) is just so anti-climatic. You end up wondering if this entire season overall could've cut out a episode or two and still get a okay experience. Along with that, there is SO MANY CLIFFHANGERS. Like not even good cliffhangers or effective use of suspense, just cliffhangers for the sake of cliffhangers. I'm sure the like 4 people who read this know what arc i'm talking about, but there are 3 episodes *in a row* that are all A ENTIRELY FAILED SEQUENCE OF CLIFFHANGERS and missed payoffs. Like seriously, it's like they are both overly spooked of fights and yet still overly confident with their writing around the absolutely abysmal amount of fights/scuffles we have in S5. (Raven V Cinder fight was good though) The writing staff still haven't figured out who the audience should see as the main character. Ruby goes through a ultimately pointless "training arc" and gets no awnsers to either the silver eyes thing or just anything related to her life/destiny in general. Jaune literally has no reason to exist rather than for Dues Ex Aura Machina and a episode of Ozpin angst. Ren and Nora literally do nothing meaningful (except for being *deep* and a fight gag during the second to last episode) and Ozpin/Oscar are just kind of there for exposition (and also to be the wizard) and to being the foil of the 2 minutes of that one episode that I assume was the conclusion to the "training arc." Meanwhile, Weiss, Yang, Sun, Leo, Raven and a few others get a lot of good character development and character moments within the main cast. Blake actually becomes a okay character after 4 seasons of being the worst. Even Illa, the chameleon character literally introduced last season, had a better story arc and conclusion than a massive chunk of the main cast. [/sp] Overall, I didn't think that I would get this disappointed over this. They had all the opportunities to make this season good. They had the money to make this good. They had the experience from S4 in both writing and maya to make this good. But they didn't, and I feel like the new shows their trying to do are going to make things so much worse for the show if this is how the show is now.
So wait, what was this series? Just Burnie vlogging?
The actual one was just bits and pieces of the day, mixed with fun stuff, it wasn't like this video. It was a blog yeah, but it wasn't just Burnie talking at the camera there was fun stuff in there.

They’re just doing what works
They’re just doing what works
Make good money, not good content. Its the FullScreen way.
If it’s making money it must be good to enough people to make profit.

I love the immediate response is asking for slow mo. Also Miles' laugh
I can't believe they're QUADRUPLING down on 3D animation.
Well they make good 3D animations so I don't see why they wouldn't. It makes them money.
Well they make good 3D animations so I don't see why they wouldn't. It makes them money.
Their mocap 3d honestly looks like shit. RWBY looks like reboot, but with worse writing. Their other 3d animations aren't much better and the minecraft ones are apocalypticly bad. Makes lots of money=/=good content.
The fights from this season of RWBY have gotten worse, and the actual final fight happens OFFSCREEN
