So it's Cards Against Humanity
So it's Cards Against Humanity
Yes.
But it has the Rooster Teeth spin on it so that makes it an unique product!
Only Kickstarter video I've seen that makes me actually want to buy the product. Already at 1000% funding, so it seems to be working.
Did they really need to crowdfund 10000 dollars? What the fuck.

There's probably some bundle deal they had to fulfill (i.e. "We need to ship 10k worth of this product in order to justify production"), but it's strange how they don't mention it in the breakdown.

They said on the podcast last week that they could have just sold it through the RT Store, but it wouldn't create as much press compared to if they did it through Kickstarter.
...What a fucking horseshit reason
Welp there goes my $75
I love how Burnie is dressed as Steve Jobs

Well the whole thing is a parody of apple isn't it?

This also lets them do different tiers that people can buy without cluttering up the store or dealing with the issues of handling $10,000 in less than 2 minutes. Using Kickstarter as a storefront when you absolutely know you're going to be funded anyway isn't a new idea or anything. People have done it since Kickstarter started.
Also you could argue by doing this they can get a far better estimate on how many to make on the first batch. Chances are if the game just hit the store normally it would be sold out absurdly quickly, and that's no fun.
Okay, so I won't get into much detail, but a bunch of ex-RT employees are shitting up twitter talking about how 'awful it is to work at RT and how they destroy people's visions' and "Monty Oum's protoge" wasn't getting the respect he deserved so he was fired.
And all of these people are ones who, while working at RT, started stupid drama and were overall poor workers. I'm not going to blindly defend RT, but not a single one of them didn't do something monumentally stupid that got them hated by the company. Shane (The guy who started it) was obsessed with Monty's 'creative vision' and basically had no idea how to work on a production when it's actually professional.
Then there is JJ, someone who left because they cancelled his shitty podcast, who proceeded to try to get sympathies because evil RT only paid him $200 for his voicework in RWBY Volume 2 because 'I appeared in 7 episodes".
His character had 32 lines of dialogue, most of which were one word phrases. He's complaining about making $200 (On top of his salary) for 45 minutes of work.
And then Kathleen and Sheena (Monty's wife) tried to confirm it, but Kathleen is a lunatic who screamed at Barb for "not being ladylike" and Sheena wasn't even involved with RWBY, or RT in any significant way other than cosplaying a couple of times.
I honestly think the who thing with JJ was stupid, he barely had dialogue in RWBY and he complained about getting $200. Of course you're not going to get paid that much if you hardly have any dialogue. Also Shane was salty that they replace JJ who voiced Mercury in Volume 2 with professional voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal in Volume 3. Of course RT would want to go with a professional and not an amateur. Makes more fucking sense
Yeah that bit was hilarious to me, oh no, you replaced an amateur with zero lines with someone who is a professional when you need this character to actually be important

Bah, they did change the RvB Schedule
Didn't it used to be an hour after sponsors? Now it is 24 Hours :/

million dollars is almost at a million dollars
what the fucking fuck
739k atm
That was kinda disappointing since it was just reused stuff until the very end, and then you have the teaser. Maybe the other episodes will be good but ehhhh.
They just killed off How To:
Greaat

I stopped watching those when they devolved into Adam just yelling incoherently at Joel because I guess people are into that, did it ever get better?
I've been listening to the podcast for a while now and I still don't understand why they have 200 employees

They need people for their Animation department running two different shows. RWBY and Red vs Blue.
Live Action department for their RT shorts, podcasts etc.
They then have the gaming department of Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, Screw Attack etc.
RTX and Event Planning Staff.
General HR.
Website Management.
In house IT Staff
That's just a lot of people to have on hand. I used to work for the biggest skateboard company in the world and I don't think they had much more than 200 staff at the head office, and that's everything from design, r&d, production, shipping, corporate, the whole lot. It just is hard to wrap my head around 200 people for even everything you listed. I mean, HR and website could be 2 people, I don't know how many people it takes to make a 3D animated show.

Well you need writers, directors, animators, motion capture, voice actors, editors, sound engineers and some other jobs.

Not to mention that Rooster Teeth's production speed has been pretty slow in the past. The extra employees allow them to make content far faster than they ever could before.
Unfortunately, with the increase in production value... it kinda sucked the life out of a lot of what they do. The regular podcast has become really bland and lifeless

To me it's only bland and lifeless if Burnie, Gav, and Gus aren't on it. When you get millenial shitlords like Miles and Kerry on it, it's pretty frustrating to listen too. I restarted listening to the old podcasts from 1 and I'm in the 90's now. The old podcasts are great but it's mostly just because Geoff is on them.
For the most part, I like the podcasts with the old farts on it because them reminiscing about the early tech days of the internet and computers is pretty interesting and the stories they tell are usually funny. Listening to Blaine complain about Tinder, listening to Kerry talk about ultimate Frisbee, or listening to Brandon just being a moron isn't really funny or interesting.
So in the latest GTA it seems like they almost completely forgot how to play for a bit. Was it some sort of inside joke against the audience or something? Because it felt completely out of the blue.

Ain't a lot of wind in those Let's Play sails if you ask me.
Mica Burton now works at Rooster Teeth with the AH gang according to this weeks AHWU.
I'm sure someone might find that interesting.
[editline]16th May 2016[/editline]
Mica got hired before Andy hm.
Mica is great
