[editline]22nd May 2016[/editline]
Mica's role at AH is managing their streaming stuff
I searched "Rooster Teeth fight or flight" and immediately found a steamy fanfic on the front page of Google. A+
I wanna say it was drunk tank podcast 105, 106, or 107. Somewhere in that range.
"Fight or Flight" was the name of an angry birds fake movie trailer they put up on the RT site like 6 years ago.

[sp]the prom thing was so fucking cool and was legitimately surprising they went through with it, didn't expect the camera to just pull out and the set be decorated[/sp]
also the comments are very upset about mica even though everyone loved mica before she joined RT. I'm honestly convinced it's a meme now to hate the new person.

I don't know about anyone else, but I love this collab

The reason people are kinda miffed is because she suddenly jumped from a cameo to "Managing Livestreaming" or some shit that multiple AH people have been completely inconsistent about. There are straight up conflicting reports on how important she is, but the fact that she's leading a program out of no where is fucking weird
According to I think this podcast, they chose her because she has experience at it.
Also Gavin's new job title is in the credits.
On the Spot is back tomorrow, Jon is taking submissions

So spoilers for the new GMod: Eight-Man Murder.
[sp]The morons of Kinda Funny kept fucking up the game by talking when they were dead after Geoff already explained the rules. Dipshits.[/sp]
Kinda Funny are Kinda Shit
Their kickstarter just passed 1 Million, shame the livestream just showed that the game is a less funny, more repetitive version of CAH

Considering there have been multiple stories over multiple episodes of podcasts where certain people have been questioned as to what they do at RoosterTeeth, I'd say that asking "How important is this person to the company?" is a valid concern.

why does it matter what she does, that has nothing to do with how she entertains people, which is all she does in this video or any other video she's in. plus, at the end of the day a person's position means nothing for the actual content they produce unless they're directing it. also also, we have no access to her personal portfolio or seen what she's done. we aren't the fucking managers of their company, nobody should be able to criticize such a one-sided point. i'm sure she actually has had a lot of experience doing some form of management or else she wouldn't be hired for that position.
either way her employment at RT means nothing for the reason people bash her.

then they're entertainers. simple as that, they're entertainers who just need a job to do for the rest of the time, so they scramble their experience together to try and make some use of themselves.
also, jokes. those questions are all fucking jokes. jokes that may have some truth to them if they were told by people in the actual department they work in. geoff questioning what someone on say, the RTX team or real life team, isn't valid.

The only time "what does a person do at their work?" is a valid concern is if they work for the government, or you're their manager. You don't work at roosterteeth, you don't own roosterteeth, and you don't run the payroll for roosterteeth. Honestly, what she does at the company and how well she does it is nobody's fuckin business but theirs.
Because of all the nosy little shits that run around RT's communities, if I were in charge of decisions at RT, I wouldn't tell the community jack shit about what anyone does at the company. I would force everybody to have their own made up title (like Geoff "Corporate Banana" Ramsey) so all the brown noser dick monglers would quit trying to be so intrusive.

The "conflicting reports" is people bullshitting because of how nosy the RT community is. Just like how they all make fun of Ray being dead, god rest his soul, they'll never give a straight answer on subjects like this. RT community hates change and acts like 6 year olds whenever someone new jumps on board or leaves. If someone new shows up, they all start digging up their past and questioning their work experience and whether or not they're fit for the job.
News Flash: RT is a company with over a decade of experience in modern internet media. They are more than able and capable of deciding if someone is a good fit for a tech related roll. They don't need their communities' approval to put somebody into a streaming manager position.
Yes, I would super question AH's selection method for obtaining new members or, in particular, taking in groups under an already fractured banner. That's not to defend their atrociously stupid community, but this is the same group that added way too many random people, yet haven't even tried to show that they were worth the acquisition. If you wanted people to accept your pointless decision, show that they are capable of anything even on the level of the regulars. Considering that they don't meet the already super low standards of what goes on their channel, it's kinda embarrassing
Not to mention that some one had the brilliant idea of hiring the creatures, a group that basically stopped making meaningful content two years ago, and the main members left are egotistical fuckwads
I wasn't aware that my "Some days some people don't seem to do anything" post would have been taken so seriously. I was just looking at what some people do and making a note at how some people not doing anything some days and asking what they do. If you're going to have 200 people at a company, you kinda need a reason to have that many people.
So a year after Ray leaves Achievement Hunter to stream full time, Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter are suddenly big on streaming.
So what does Gavin do now? I thought the reason he wasn't in the let's plays often was because he was the creative director and busy with that, but that hasn't been the case for months.

Well for one, they have absolutely nothing to prove to anybody. If you don't like the content from some of their new people, then don't watch it. It's as simple as that. They don't need to justify themselves to anybody in the community, and they don't need anybody in the community to accept their decisions. This may be hard to understand, but RT is a company that is owned by a corporation that drives it to make money. AH owning more than one group of content makers means more money for them. If some of the millions of RT and AH fans don't like the new guys, then they just don't watch the new guys, but the new guys are going to retain their fans and build up their own communities. But if AH fans act like 6 year old piss babies and quit watching the content all together, then thats a few hundred community members out of millions that are gone, so they take a marginal loss on top of massive gains.
I don't know why you're comparing the new people to the "regulars". The regulars are just entertainers, most of their editing and what not is done by a separate team all together. Ray only ever edited like 2 videos in the entire time he worked at AH, and did a fucking awful job at it too.

Is there even any way to watch their youtube streams after they are done, I wanted to see that overwatch stream but it was at 4 in the damn morning, GG
Oh, Andy now works at AH. Maybe he'll actually show up for work more than Gavin
So a year after Ray leaves Achievement Hunter to stream full time, Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter are suddenly big on streaming.
AH has been doing streaming for a while, it just hasn't been a profitable thing so it was never a major focus. AHTV used to be a thing every other Wednesday where community members/Ray/Michael would play games and stuff like that, started around since 2009 on uStream I think. Community Playdates and Game Nights were (always?) streamed out. Fairly confident the podcast crew streamed out once or twice as well.
It's just that Twitch actually proved to be a semi-stable platform for earning $ within the past two years or so.
The whole "Head of Streaming" thing wasn't even official anyway. They discussed that in Off Topic, and it was something that Jeremy fucked up by saying. It's why Jeremy is now "Head of Announcements" at Rooster Teeth.
Oh, Andy now works at AH. Maybe he'll actually show up for work more than Gavin
I hope he doesn't appear in videos. I'd even rather watch Brandon .
I liked Gavin's shirt on this weeks podcast.
Oh hey, mine was the first one.

They're starting to edit their videos down for time and posting the longer ones on the site. I don't know if this will be universal, but it's true for On the Spot at least
