Absolution's gameplay was garbage for a hitman game though. Maybe it'd be fine for other series, but it severely lacked in this series.

Where did you find this information? This game is just called "Hitman". It's more probable that it's going to be a reboot. Many people think Absolution was, but it totally is not.

At 7:33 he says the story takes place after Absolution, but he doesn't say much about it after that.

That said, the gameplay in this has changed. It has kept the fluidity but lots of things have changed like magic pockets, checkpoints, and a better disguise system.
