femshep is much more fun when going renegade
Femshep sounds bored about half the time and tired the other half. Meer has consistently improved since ME1 while Hale has actually gotten steadily more monotone, I mean hell, perfect example would be their delivery of the "Now, DRINK IT" line.
femshep is much more fun when going renegade
Not really, she sounds rather overdramatic and/or bored when she goes renegade. Maleshep sounds much more serious and more of a badass then Femshep.
Why is he playing female Shepard? Male Shepard is better.
you play a male in almost every other game that's so boring. (there's a cross-dressing joke in there)
Nah.
I feel she makes a way better renegade, she has a much more apathetic (but not emotionless) tone.
The thing that REALLY gets me. Is that if a Prothean DID show up, it would change the whole fucking story. I mean, you could just take the Prothean, show him to people, have him tell them to help Earth, kick the Reapers' asses, and call it a day. But they had to tell Bioware to make the story make LESS sense so that they could release the Prothean for 10 dollars and not have to make two stories. That's fucking bullshit.
gender and race are left to the players discretion they can play the game however the fuck they want now stop arguing

Hale just sounds boring and flat.
I know no one here likes 4chan but one thing /v/ does really well is digging shit up. The stuff they have on Bioware is ridiculous. Like TOR, if you saw their daily TORtanic threads filled to the brim with screen caps of Bioware forum posts you would end up gagging at how awful the administration is. Remove the unsubscribe button the day before everyone gets charged another month? I wish I was making it up. Whether it's Bioware them selves or EA, I say you guys should really stop supporting them. They're getting worse and worse.
Remove the unsubscribe button the day before everyone gets charged another month? I wish I was making it up.
oh, holy shit
Whether it's Bioware them selves or EA, I say you guys should really stop supporting them. They're getting worse and worse.
they already gave the feeling that they "sold out" with DA2
This is also the result of someone who found a work around for the missing cancel subscription button:

You can blame EA to an extent, but it's obvious this is wayyyy Bioware's fault. Publishers don't have all the pull you guys think they do.
I agree with this guy... ...but I don't have the commitment to deny myself what I want just to prove a point. If that makes me a selfish enabler, then whatever. I hope the whole boycott deal goes over well, but there is a line for how far I'll go in the name of pure principle, at least when something affects my own gratification directly...
as far as i know a videogame boycott has never worked i'd say around 90% of the people who buy games don't care [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline] also most of the people who say they're going to boycott buy the game or pirate it anyway video game enthusiasts are hypocrites
Considering how Bioware managed to get that book filled with inaccuracies edited after everybody complained, hopefully they'll listen to these complaints about what's going on now. I'm not asking for a full boycott of the game, but atleast don't add pricetags to everything.
That being said, I will definitely be pirating ME3 and its Prothean DLC.
Bioware and EA doesn't even deserve their abomination of a game being pirated. I'm not even going to touch this shit.
Bioware and EA doesn't even deserve their abomination of a game being pirated. I'm not even going to touch this shit.
Go away. "I'd rather look like this than look like you and have to be you. You are a bonehead. Get the hell outta here." It deserves being pirated... IF they're gonna learn from it... But they aren't. They'll just attribute it to a dying PC market as all of the other troll devs do.
Go away. "I'd rather look like this than look like you and have to be you. You are a bonehead. Get the hell outta here."
cool a fallout 2 quote
Honestly, I'd say I would pirate it out of protest, but that's fucking dumb and counterproductive and they would use piracy as an excuse to back out of the PC market. Well, I mean if a lot of people pirated it out of protest, I doubt they'd care about what one guy does.
they already use pirating as an excuse, even if not that many people do it
Well, I mean if a lot of people pirated it out of protest, I doubt they'd care about what one guy does.
Thousands of people say they're "just one guy that won't make a difference" on many large group efforts and it backfires every time.
I'm straight up not buying it, I've protested over less, and quite frankly I find it a little sad that a lot of you guys don't have the self control to deny yourself one game. Like Silly Sil said, the reason that large group efforts don't work is because everyone says "one man won't make a difference". And do you really think EA are so stupid as to not look at the scope of the pirating to validate the fact that A) They have a popular product and B) They should not focus on the PC market? They've tracked numbers of pirated games before, like with spore, which they declared the #1 most pirated game of all time, and what sort of message do you think that sends to the EA high-ups? If you want EA to change and just need to play the last of the series then the LEAST you can do is send Emails to the company, or even better, send a physical letter voicing your displeasure and include some sort of indication that you bought the game as they're much more inclined to listen to their player base than they are to a million piraters. If you really want to stick it to them though then just don't buy the damn game and don't pirate it to give them the numbers to show how popular it is.
I'm going to buy the game, because it's the game I'm going to play and enjoy. I couldn't care less about DLCs and crap, which I'm never going to buy anyway.
Its amazing how far Bioware have fallen, everyone loved them when Mass effect 1 and Origins was out, and now look at them. Basically the wicked witch of the games industry.
Day 1 DLC is like making a cake, taking out 1/8th of it, selling the rest at full cake price, and then demanding more money for the slice you just removed.
Wow I never realized it until now but it's true. I remember like 5+ years ago demos for games did have a lot of content. You'd usually always get a big chunk of singleplayer and multiplayer with a couple maps. Nowadays demos are like 20 min of single player.
I'm going to buy the game, because it's the game I'm going to play and enjoy. I couldn't care less about DLCs and crap, which I'm never going to buy anyway.
I'll be buying it as well, and I'll also be buying the day one DLC, so hear me out why. The collectors edition is sold out pretty much everywhere, and from my view that's why this is being released. To give people the ability for some of the collector's edition content without actually buying it. (The Prothean DLC was going to be free with the CE). Its getting tiresome when the gaming community acts like over-entitled brats when a new big name game comes out. What ever happened to just buying the game and enjoying it regardless of the content? I've always bought games to just play and relax, it seems nowadays they just make people more angry than work as they were originally intended.

From my point of view it's like selling you a part of the game for the full game price and then telling you there is more to it than that, so you have the urge for more, and then you have to pay for it if you do want more. Perfect way of overpricing your game and making it look like something different. Why not just cut the game into 10 parts and for each you have to pay individually. It would be like "congrats you have completed the first level, if you want to continue buy level 2 for only 9.99$". Part of the story is not collectors content.
Its getting tiresome when the gaming community acts like over-entitled brats when a new big name game comes out.
What ever happened to just buying the game and enjoying it regardless of the content?
I started caring about the price/content ratio when my mom stopped paying for my shit.

He's totally missing the point. I'm sure the story will have a perfectly normal ending WITHOUT the prothean, just like it had the same ending with Kasumi, and Jaaed. They had no effect on the overall arc, they were just nice to have around. That's all the prothean is. It's an EXTRA character that very may well establish a bit of backstory, but other than that is going to be overall unnecessary to the experience.
I started caring about the price/content ratio when my mom stopped paying for my shit.
You lost credibility here. Clearly not taking everything seriously and just enjoying games for what they are means I don't pay for my own games. That logic is flawless.
