And to think this is how it was when the first Settlers discovered the Indians...
And to think this is how it was when the first Settlers discovered the Indians...
But with less slavery and murder.
First he puts the power of fire in his hands, next he gives him a kalashnikov.
This is really crazy awesome
First he puts the power of fire in his hands, next he gives him a kalashnikov.
But in all seriousness, some tribes do use our civilized technology to wage war against other tribes. We should've never introduced them to guns.
Gives an insight as to what it would of been like for Columbus and the Native Americans
Wonder what they think of porn.
Wonder what they think of porn.

But creating somewhat more advanced tools than what existed during the stoneage isnt
A huge number of Native American tribes used only stone weapons and bows and arrows.
A huge number of Native American tribes used only stone weapons and bows and arrows.
Some of them use guns though.
This was breath taking.... But I hated that music.
Wonder what they think of porn.
Probably not much considering they walk around half naked. They would probably just assume all our women walked around looking like porn stars.
I loved the way they didn't know what a handshake was, and a bit later in the video, I got the same feeling they must have had: What the hell was the thing where they sort of hit their heads after taking the food in their mouths? Was it some kind of "It tastes good!" or something? Or a gesture of politeness? I loved that :D And the part right where they play the recording, the guy just gets up in utter disbelief. Must have been an extremely exciting day.
Realize that they are likely eating ice for the first time in their whole lives. I would imagine they had super brain freeze.
Ice. You mean rice?
Ice. You mean rice?
Looked like ice to me.
That vid reminded me of this poster my psychology teacher had hanging "everybody smiles in the same language", completely remote tribes like this one know what a smile is without explanation.
The Tribesman was pretty freaked out by the mirror.
Well let's see, infection, complications at birth, disease, food poisoning, the list goes on really. [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] I too would like the average life span to be 26 and to have 3/4 children die before adulthood. If only. . .
Because we all want to live forever behind our monitors right, at least it's safe here I think I'd sooner die than live to suffer from joint pains, sleepless nights, and shitting my Depends in a nursing home.
That was one of the most amazing things I have seen in a long time. I wish there was a longer version of it.
blow their minds with internet
I've always wanted to see the "pasts" reaction to the future. This is more or less the closest you will get. It's pretty amazing.
I want to show them modern cellphones, computers, cities... Amazing, the tribesman got scared of the mirror image... [editline]24th June 2011[/editline] And the stuff they were shown is Tens and tens of years old.
Awesome, but now the modern world will ruin their lives.
I want to show them modern cellphones, computers, cities... Amazing, the tribesman got scared of the mirror image...
I recommend that you watch Meet the Natives US series.
Because we all want to live forever behind our monitors right, at least it's safe here I think I'd sooner die than live to suffer from joint pains, sleepless nights, and shitting my Depends in a nursing home.
You go have fun dying of gangrene then, I guess.
where was this? also i smiled when i saw how different their hair was
This must be the single coolest experience in the world. Being immersed into a world that is so much more technologically advanced than you were as a kid. I'm curious how they would react to something like a helicopter, if they would even be brave enough to get in it.
Well let's see, infection, complications at birth, disease, food poisoning, the list goes on really. [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline]
Your point is? Wouldn't mind it. I'll die anyways and I'm not planning on ending in a wheelchair due to old age. Edit:
Because we all want to live forever behind our monitors right, at least it's safe here I think I'd sooner die than live to suffer from joint pains, sleepless nights, and shitting my Depends in a nursing home.
YES. Someone gets it!
Punching yourself in the back of the head to communicate that you like something or find something good? Sounds like chavs :v:
Anyone know the name of the song, where it's like "I want sundaes"?
It must be so strange for them, they didn't even recognize a mirror, or metal.
