this isn't about how the kids act moreso how bullying is handled by the school you think i wanted to get my head slammed into lockers in school? fuck no, i wanted to fight back but i knew all that would do is get me in trouble as well. Reporting bullies to staff and teachers is as useful as trying to fight a bear with a goddamn paper clip. The way the american school system handles bullying has always been and will probably always be fucked
See here which happened near me: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/4361724.stm a girl attacked her bully with a pencil sharpener blade. She was arrested and seen as the evil one. It's not just American schools.

The way the american school system handles bullying has always been and will probably always be fucked
my point is, or was, that nowhere can schools actually handle bullying any better because it's mostly outside of their control.
Any "It's a prank bro" fella get what they deserve.
"Remember boys and girls, you can be a cunt so long as you catch it on camera and put it on Youtube! It's just a prank after all!"
"Remember boys and girls, you can be a cunt so long as you catch it on camera and put it on Youtube! It's just a prank after all!"
head of ISIS found and captured, reported saying "Bro, look, it's a prank bro, look! look you're on camera bro! it's a prank!"
The guy didn't get slapped back, he got a sucker punch while things were somewhat toned down. And it wasn't deserved at all This guy didn't expect that at all and don't say something dumb like "He didn't expect getting slapped with a pizza". The guy didn't go and slap the shit out of him with his pizza getting tomato sauce and blood all over the walls. He smacked him pretty gently. Thats not justifying anything but it wasn't a malicious attack or anything its just a douche trying to be funny. Like they don't even seem to know each other. The other guy did something much more malicious. He waits for the dude to sit down and relax to knock him the fuck out and then leaves later. That isn't cool, that is being a Class A pussy and at that point where you need to wait like a predator about to ambush his pray is where you become a bigger dick then the guy who smacked you with a pizza in the first place. And what the fuck is with you naive people who keep saying "It's going to teach him a lesson" No it's not going to teach him a lesson. He fucking sucker punched him, an act that's in itself fucking cowardly. This is the kind of shit that would cause him to fight the dude fucking later. You sucker punching someone doesn't make them afraid of you. They just think you're a big pussy that they're going to beat up later because they assume you can't fight so you have to resort to cowardly tactics. And everyone's bullying drama doesn't have shit to do with anything. It's most likely these guys don't fucking know each other which is why they repeatedly call him buddy and why his friend asks for his name (Which from the video seems to be Marco). Seriously, keep your inferiority complexes to yourself Shit if you fucking attacked your bully with an object or some shit, no fucking duh people are going to treat your bully as the fucking victim. The problem is that school systems don't handle bullying well. The whole point is to stop things before they progress into you become the next school shooter because when that happens nobody is going to baby you. All the other parents are just gonna know you as that one violent kid in school. The fact people have to go through mental gymnastics to defend a sucker punch to a guy sitting down after he hit you with a pizza (Keywords "Sucker" and "Punch") is fucking stupid.
For all we know, "Marco" could've been having a really shitty day as well, and this was just the shit frosting on the turd cake. Not justifying a full-blown sucker punch for something like that, but still, the whole "anger management" thing only goes so far.
I think we need more data on this. All we have is this one incident. One response and a ton of speculation on what is or isn't right or wrong. And that is spread out across a lot of different point's of view. Someone needs to start a series of slapping random people in the face with pizza. We can measure the results by the number of teeth they have left after a few tries.

We need to set up a research center ASAP

Would people react more or less positively, for example, if they are slapped directly in the face with no warning from a Canadian Bacon pizza? Stuffed crust? Personally I would aggressively assault the person if they slapped me with a Canadian bacon pizza with stuffed crust, though only to steal the slice to consume, not to actually harm him.

Punch man obviously got some pussy after that punch. See the bitches following him out of the pizza store?
I know, right? The pizza guy shouldn't have slapped him.
if you're saying the gentle pizza slap and the king hit are equivalent, you're deluded. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
you come off as someone with little experience of physical quarrels also "passively" slapping someone with a pizza is an oxymoron
it certainly wasn't aggressive. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
lol at everyone in this thread who are acting like being punched in the face is the world's #1 killer
nobody's saying it's the leading cause of death. but it can, and has, caused deaths. late night brawls and king hits are a serious problem, especially in australia.
I wouldn't say he deserved it but his arrogance was really disgusting to witness. He felt as if he could get away and expect no retaliation. That's the real world, I suppose. Don't be a dick and try shit like that and expect to walk away scott-free all the time.
Because i've been in so much situations where i walked away i clearly think its not the best decision anymore. Theres humans and then theres animals disguised as humans.
this kind of weird hyperbolic rhetoric isn't a replacement for logic. you're more of an 'animal' if you hit a person than if he played a joke on you.
B Youre talking just like a person whos never been in a fight
you say that like it's a bad thing. not ever being in a fight is a positive thing. it demonstrates great character. you wanna know why i've never been in a fight? because i'm not hot tempered and don't want to hurt someone just because they're an asshole and mocked me. you fight words with words. and pizza slaps with nothing more than pizza slaps. hitting a man for intentionally embarrassing you is ten times more barbaric than what he did. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
No wonder why bullying is so much in america, ffs
i'm not american and i've never been bullied in my life. i have however defused any and all heated situations i've been in. this isn't bullying so much as a random passive jab, which i'm not defending. but i will not defend his response to it at all, as it was far worse. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
If we are going to make this personal, might aswell tell it. I've changed 3 schools because of the immense bullying, and the last one was the last drop. Oh that first punches i took and i gave. I felt satisfied even when i took it. Its good to fight back after overcharging in 3 years.
this is not a healthy way to have dealt with bullying and you shouldn't be encouraging it. i haven't been bullied but i've seen a lot of it which is how i avoided ever being bullied, because I know how to avoid it entirely. it is very problematic for you to be advocating violence as a solution to violence (or even violence as a solution to non-violent bullying)
ITT I learn that the mentality of Facepunchers is completely warped. They believe that life threatening retaliations are completely fair game to non-life threatening attacks such as calling someone a faggot and hitting you with a piece of pizza. Users try to talk reason into your caveman logic but you guys all act like snide cunts. Honestly guys, get your head out of your arses. Here in Australia there is a very big bloke culture about being the bigger man and correctly dealing with people like these. If you start a fight because someone calls you a faggot, then you are one. If you start a fight because you get slapped by a pizza, then you're an aggressive manchild. In recent years there have been a lot of suckerpunches in Sydney, sometimes provoked but other times completely out of the blue and often the person who gets hit ends up dead, with concussion or in a coma. A friend of mine has been suckerpunched before in the club district of the city while he was walking down the street. He ended up dead as a result of the punch. Do you think he deserved to die? Does anybody deserve to die in a scenario like this whether they did something wrong or not? Who are you to make these judgements. All I'm saying is that I'm incredibly disgusted at the way people in this forum are acting, thinking that the guy who pizza slapped did the right thing. Honestly, reading this thread feels like a Twilight Zone episode in which social rules has degraded to caveman survival instinct. Haven't you ever heard of equal and opposite force? Escalating a pizza slap to a punch to the head holds you liable and you're the one with a manslaughter charge if shit goes south. The only right thing to do is to tell the guy "Fuck off mate" and walk away. Nobody gets hurt and if your friends aren't complete fuckwits they'd both support you and respect you for that. tl;dr Guy was completely in the wrong for punching other guy. Suckerpunches are often known to lead to manslaughter/assault charges. You guys are deluded for supporting actions like this.
You know we still are cavemen right? The human mind has not evolved one bit since the dawn of our existence. We get these extremely itchy nerves to just knock someone when you are absolutely humiliated like that. Bullying builds off of incidences like these, the fear of me going through something like that again would let me fly too, I'd be down right scared to be bullied again. Us being "cavemen" still only show how strength is still valued amongst us, and thus this prick will learn his lesson the extremely old-fashioned way.

Kinda agree on the sucker punch though. He should have just straight up break his fucking nose. Also I don't know about "mental gymnastics", but you have to understand that when he got slapped, he was just confused at first. Clearly. But after realizing that the attacker did it seemingly at random just for fun, and by the time the attacker sat back down like nothing happened, he got super pissed. And just like the caveman back in the day, he sure as fuck wouldn't let it go. The part of him that wanted to hit him got the better off him. Hell, the slapper didn't exactly leave much room for the part that makes us want to forgive and move on, did he now?
I don't know about you but I really don't want to have any of my actions be comparable to a caveman.
I don't know about you but I really don't want to have any of my actions be comparable to a caveman.
It was a reference to the previous discussion. You know, a rhetorical way of conveying the message. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline] Obviously we're quite different from fucking cavemen, but a neuro-scientist might say "not so fast."
if you're saying the gentle pizza slap and the king hit are equivalent, you're deluded.
Well, good thing I was agreeing with you then. I can't blame him for the retaliation, I can't really tell what he is like and what is going through his mind but I can blame him for the excessive force he used and I can also blame the pizza guy for starting shit in the first place. Both are wrong, there isn't a right thing here.
Anyone saying he actually deserved that earth shattering punch really need to calm their shit but I will say he had it coming in the "what in the fuck did you expect" kind of way. Mess with the bull, you get the horns.
The thing is, you shouldn't mess with people because there are people out there who WILL do this to you. Not that it's right, but you have to expect the worst when you fuck with a random guy
Now I want to eat pizza.
This is not what we invented them for
this kind of weird hyperbolic rhetoric isn't a replacement for logic. you're more of an 'animal' if you hit a person than if he played a joke on you.
You lack empathy
you say that like it's a bad thing. not ever being in a fight is a positive thing. it demonstrates great character. you wanna know why i've never been in a fight? because i'm not hot tempered and don't want to hurt someone just because they're an asshole and mocked me. you fight words with words. and pizza slaps with nothing more than pizza slaps. hitting a man for intentionally embarrassing you is ten times more barbaric than what he did.
Not being in a fight does not make you a great character. Making the right decisions makes you a great character. You say you respond to pizza slaps with a pizza slap, but i bet you wouldnt move an eyebrow into an action like this. Do the pizza slap to him and watch as he punches your face into the ground. Oh and people have lived like this for ten thousand years, by being barbaric and it turned out good into some of them. I'm not provoking to fight with anyone who does this shit but you people still missing the point. If the guy is good attituded you can talk with him. If he is sick, you gotta give him the medicine, or somebody's going to give it in a more worse way. Its like parents slapping their kids to not do something again. (ps: i dont like hitting children as they arent really responsible for their actions, they dont really think through)
i'm not american and i've never been bullied in my life. i have however defused any and all heated situations i've been in. this isn't bullying so much as a random passive jab, which i'm not defending. but i will not defend his response to it at all, as it was far worse.
I want to hear some example of defusing a situation. You tell me and i tell you what i've been through today. Maybe the countries have a difference. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
this is not a healthy way to have dealt with bullying and you shouldn't be encouraging it. i haven't been bullied but i've seen a lot of it which is how i avoided ever being bullied, because I know how to avoid it entirely. it is very problematic for you to be advocating violence as a solution to violence (or even violence as a solution to non-violent bullying)
Again i would like to hear these avoidings. I want you to avoid/defuse: 8 man cornering you in a park on the way to the school (one of them has a knife) The kid who caught you looking at his girl and now he's talking shit to you The girl who told her boyfriend that you asked to go out with her The other kid who wants to play with your ball at the outside, and calling you a faggot in middle of the class, he also throated you recently at the bathroom If you can find reasonable things to this, i will drop my attitude and you will defuse 1 more person with eye-to-eye mindset. Oh and defuse this pizza slapped guy's situation without making him embarrassed in front of the people. Sorry i forgot to mention; i've been in all these situations and the first one recently happened to me. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
The thing is, you shouldn't mess with people because there are people out there who WILL do this to you. [editline]23rd October 2014[/editline]
See here which happened near me: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/4361724.stm a girl attacked her bully with a pencil sharpener blade. Not so good but its okay.
The guy even let it go too. He was going to let it slide, and they wouldn't shut the fuck up. It was only a suckerpunch because he wasn't looking at the guy he was talking shit to. That's just not smart.
