deadmau5 is a bloody con-artist who steals from other people who do make their songs from scratch.
these are people who made their songs from scratch:

all David Guetta and Deadmau5 do is mill out cliche's in order to make a quick buck. thanks to that the mainstream's conception of electronic music has changed as well.
Please clarify what songs deadmau5 exactly copied.
umm im the dj myself, and all i can say, guetta uses the same melody on all of his songs, just changes the pitch and add filters.
Oh and also that beat is his signature sound, sorta like skrillex wub wub wub effect.
First:
I'm not sure about that.

vs

Similar? Yea, I'll give you that. Different? Also yes.
Second:
The "skrillex wub wub wub effect" is specific to a genre of music. Not Skrillex. If deadmau5 is using the same "signature beat" across most his songs, that's being unoriginal/uninventive.
In my opinion neither are bad. It's just that I'm not a fan of Deadmau5 because the music is repetitive to me. Especially when it's just the instrumentals without vocals.
Please clarify what songs deadmau5 exactly copied.
he doesn't copy songs, he copies individual sounds and styles without expanding on them. he's milled the house sound to death and right now, like skrillex, is trying to mill the "dubstep sound" (which has nothing to do with london dubstep anymore) which basically killed it for all the other smaller electronic artists trying to advance the genre.
electronic music is supposed to be anti-cliche and now it's turning into rock music. how ironic, Foo Fighters and Deadmau5, two peddlers of cliches side by side. at least Dave Grohl has the history behind him as an excuse.

both David Guetta and Deadmau5 use the same French House drumbeat that daft punk basically perfected.

can't blame Daft Punk for wanting to work with Danger Mouse, they must be so sick of that same swung kick-snare.
i really don't like guettas music. all his songs sounds like those default casio keyboard rhythm things with the autotuned vocals of some bigshot smeared all over it.

Oh and cant listen now but the deadmau5 songs are really different, and he has some of the best instrumentical electronic songs like cthulu dreams.

shit even Giorgio Moroder has more originality in his primitive electro-house.

Oh and have you heard about subgenres? Yes, skrillex created an subgenre.
Also i havent heard any similar sounds on other artists as deadmau5

Oh look it's Benga.

how many years has Benga been making this kind of music?
and subgenres are no excuse for cliches.

Its generalizing.
And yes, it is excuse if its genres main attribute

cliches aren't a main attribute for any genre.
except maybe metal.

Oh and for half of electronical music.
David Guetta is the most untalented piece of shit ever, I have no idea why he is so popular.
Deadmau5 on the other hand is a good producer and DJ, I just hate how overly long and repetitive his songs are.
Feed Me is where it's at.
Oh and for half of electronical music.
pffah, deadmau5 and skrillex doesn't constitute for even one small iota of electronic music.
please don't make statements about electronic music that have no basis.
Also that Foo Fighters remix by deadmau5 is possibly the worst song I have ever heard.
I don't really understand how people never learn that taste can not be discussed over the internet. Only people with the same taste of whatever it is (in this case deadmau5) can discuss something.
If you just happened to click on this thread and didn't like what you heard or read, then leave your opinion out of here if everything you really intend to do is making a shitstorm.
Yes, not everyone like the same stuff as you. Are they dumb because they do like something else? No.
GTFO with the "Oh, X is so much better than Y" or the "X is ripping of Y because..."
Edit: Saying this because I just feel posts become much more enjoyable and worth reading instead of all the hate flowing every direction.
Ontopic: I like deadmau5. I don't LOVE him, nor am I a fanboy. But I like his style and sometimes it's just wonderful to listen to some of his tracks.
But then there is Guetta. I don't dislike him as a person and he doesn't got bad music. I just think that his music is more dull. I don't listen to him frequently, but when I do it's most likely on a party where nobody really cares what is being played and they just want a beat to dance to.
better than posting funny pictures
better than shitting in loads of threads
I don't like this type of music, I should complain about it on a thread full of people who love it. Sounds like a great idea. :v:
The new Deadmau5 LED head is twice the resolution, half the weight and he can see the ableton live interface in a small set of glasses mounted inside. They both have fans in the back to keep Joel and all the circuitry cooled.
Why do we ever bother to have a thread about today's pop artists if it just turns into a debate page 1.
I personally like David Guetta's music and Deadmau5's despite the fact that I never listen to deadmau5. I respect them as talented artists in the fields they work in. I really don't care who gets the most sales of the two.

if having a chat about music is shitting in a thread then i don't want to do anything else

The more I watch that video the more I am amazed by it. I've always loved Daft Punk and I used to like David Guetta and Deadmau5 for a while but I feel like their songs always sound the same and after a while is just a bit of a headache to listen to.
I like both a lot, but Guetta has the swag, and The Alphabeat is a good song.
iirc it's worth $60,000,000
a fan once remade the LED head and deadmau5 offered him $50,000 for it, but the fan declined it.
I'm sorry but how the fuck would it cost that much, where would this dude get that kind of money. Even all his money combined right now would not accumulate to that much so how the crap do you think he would obtain that hat.
Deadmau5, Guetta < Madeon

He even improved deadmau5's songs.

like i give a shit about dumb ratings
god i love madeons songs. im sortof 50/50 with guetta and deadmau5.
madeon and deadmau5 are best djs.
And yes i listen much to electronic music.
Oh and also, Atleast deadmau5 songs have parts, so the song actually sounds Dynamic, not like guetta. I don't even think he's real dj.
