No, this music isn't metal, it's shitty hot topic alternative rock lol that is from 1941 and somehow comes off as cooler and more metal than this shitty music. Was I implying that? I hate screaming in metal now, fuck that noise. I would rather prefer actual singers in metal. But not in the way this guy is singing, eugh. Cringy as fuck. Basically Metalocalypse but just death metal tropes instead of 70's stadium rock is the best you can get. Maybe mistaken but I think a lot of that is rotoscoped? Still, great animation don't get me wrong but something about the way the artist draws faces makes every face completely punchable. Punchable in a Kent Mansley from Iron Giant way. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if people from this video were involved in Iron Giant.
You have a very poor taste in music if you don't think this is metal and that's just kind of disappointing.
That is some damn fine animation, but the some of the vocals (especially the chorus) remind me so much of the godawful Nu Metal craze of the late 90s and early 2000s. *shudders*
Rock & Rule?
Didn't care for the song but cool animation. I'd like to see a full length Disney film about a metal band.
Basically this. Song was alright, animation was fantastic and yeah, i'd totally watch a movie like this.
Great animation, horrible lyrics..
It just doesn't flow well. It's like Avenged Sevenfold if they knew jack shit about music. Like, the instrumentals aren't that bad but the lyrics really are.

Oh wow, I completely forgot about this. Thank you!
I didn't know this was out yet, I've been looking forward to it. Freak Kitchen is one of my longtime favourite bands. I like this song but I wouldn't call it their best, their sound is quite versatile and they experiment with genres a lot. Mattias can also play the guitar using a dildo. So there's that.
I'm not sure if it's just this video but the song sounds really quiet and energyless. The animation was amazing though.
yea this is still metal http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Freak_Kitchen/1375 just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a certain genre
Just because someone calls it metal doesn't mean it's metal either. Regardless of whether or not it's metal, it's a shitty song with absolutely no power behind anything. Feels like I'm trying to listen through a pillow of goose down and clouds.
It is
Hey look, its metalocalypse with a budget.
I'm more of a Warner Brothers fan
Metal heads with Disney princesses hair. It's quite nice to see the good old animation popping out from time to time. Also, heard two of the group that worked on that were both former animators at Disney, one was a supervisor and the other the lead animator on this project. Glad to see they try to keep the old art alive and are still enjoying doing it.
Love the animation, makes me really want a gritty, dark Disney movie aimed at an adult demographic. I'd totally watch it. And not following a protagonist who ends up "happily ever after", but more an antihero where everything goes to shit.
I'd love to see more adult oriented western animation in general. It would be cool if Adult Swim or someone greenlight an animated series aimed at an older audience that isn't a comedy.
