Actually i've been in situations where using garageband (or other similar apps) are extremely useful. Ever tried carrying a full drum kit into someone's house rather late and managed to play softly to not wake anyone up? Yeah you can't.
Also Garageband (specifically for iOS/iPad) has some of the highest quality sounds i've heard in a music app
for a second, I thought they made the Ipad float.
