I don't get why some people are saying this is provoking a racial flame war, well that may certainly happen if people in this thread lose any more brain cells. Fact is, that this is straight up child abuse and immoral (in the sense of bad integration into Western society). Just because the area of focus is an Islamic school doesn't mean those who criticise it are Islamophobic. Can we just forget about cultures, for threads such as these?

And there's a difference between ignoring the actions of a fanatical minority and stereotyping a huge group of people based on that minority. The author of that video makes it pretty clear that he thinks that those three things apply to [b]all Muslims[/b]. Even if a few Muslims believe such things, it is incredibly harmful to make people so suspicious and fearful of an entire religion like that. I'll admit that the video does a good job of scaring the shit out of you and filling you with doubt, but some red flags should really be going up when you watch it. For one, the arguments bear a striking resemblance to those made by conspiracy theorists. You've got the dangerous motives, secret government takeover, and - to wrap it all up - the claim that anyone who denies such a conspiracy is only lying in order to help promote it! (a subtle example of begging the question) If that video is true,you're right: we should be scared shitless of Muslims. But before that happens; think. What's more likely: a global Muslim conspiracy, or that most Muslims are nice, honest people who haven't heard of the ridiculous ideas in that video?

Its just the fact that the minority shouldn't be defended, in the same way the minority of people say in the UK who steal shouldn't be defended. But you seem to want to turn a blind eye to it? I don't know about you but I'm worried about the future. How much will we let the minority get away with before they become the majority? Of course, these specific schools won't get away with it because of this video evidence, but other minorities that you assume to be minorities forever will eventually spread. These kids will grow up following these teachings, and spread them. Even if the minority of the minority spread these teachings, it doesn't take long for it to become a larger problem, being similar to exponential growth... Just my thoughts and worries.

And just to clear things up, this isn't a Christian vs Muslims debate, so please leave Christianity out of it.

I went to an Islamic faith school for about a year. It wasn't as bad as this, but the teachers would sometimes hit the kids when they did something bad. Not really beating up but a slap. You had to cut your hair short also, kids with long hair would get banned or mistreated. This was when I was about 15, after that I noticed that I didn't give a shit about religion and quit. My parents stopped caring after that also (my parents made me attend it).
