I like how everyone is such a defender of multiculturalism here. Too bad it doesn't work in practice, at least not in the way it was put into practice in the past decade. The concept needs a lot of refining. You can't place a foreign community in another community without them abiding to (and/or partially assimilating to) the majority's customs and morals. That just causes misunderstanding and intolerance in the long run, thus not doing any less harm than requiring the foreign community to assimilate to the majority's values.

We used to have these radical Muslims who would go into the town centre and set up a little table and complain about everything western but both Muslim and non-Muslim would have a go at them. Don't know what happened to them though, my town is home to the first purpose built mosque in Britain.
